About Trading Need Some Help Understanding It

I would like to know how/where to list some request so I could sell my items through trading especially WTB request or WTS request getting a notification, is it through the search button by putting a filter (of the item) or is there a other route like Warframe market which I still dont understand how it works

On the market you create an account, tie your WF name into it so the private messages are generated for your offer, then check the item you want to sell and at the bottom right click "create offer", set the price and how much platinum you want per item, how many items you have to sell, in some cases like mods their rank, then create that offer and wait for a buyer to message you in-game (some are weirdos and message on the market so keep it open just in case), then proceed with the trade.

For rivens you can either make an auction or a direct sale offer, you will just have to manually fill in the stats.

Just please, if you are messaged at an inopportune time, say something, and change your status to invisible in the market when away, it is very annoying when sellers ghost.

I already have done trading with someone but what I did was just going afk scrolling through the trade chat looking some WTB staff my only question is what is the Filter used for on the Trade chat

Use Warframe market to find the average prices for stuff. I still use the trading tab for selling and buying, but I use the market to find out prices before I trade anything. Don't get scammed by people in the trading chat, some people out here with outrageous prices. Had someone try to sell me Revenant Prime for 250 plat, I about fell out my chair when he said that.

same thing I always do a price check first then trade especially when I am buying but I do give the offer most of the time just like last time I bought a Revenant prime set with 50 plat only but I do see outrageous pricings in warframe market and I always go for the cheapest 10-15plat max or 20 not unless its a riven mod with a good stats and its a reasonable price to be high or a vaulted prime BP

You can put words in the filter and the chat will show those messages based on whether you choose to include or exclude them.

For example you can include WTB in the filter as a keyword and it will only show messages that contain the word WTB. You can also filter out things like Riven and it will exclude all messages that contain the word riven.

You can filter multiple words at the same time, but can only set it to exclude or include all the filter words you set.

warframe.market is way faster and easier than trade chat, list a few items at the lowest or 2nd lowest price, update them every now and then, check statistics on expensive items.

I tried trading through the site but it does not support the actual trading and I have to trade with the player through the game but I dont know how to its not the same with trading through chat where I could just right click and invite the player through clan dojo

If you search for an item on the site, you can see a "buy" button, if you click it, it will open a highlighted text which you just copy and then paste in your warframe chat. This will send a msg to the seller.
Same goes for you, if you have items listed just set your online status to "online in game" and people will eventually msg you.

Ofc some things can take a bit longer to sell but generally its faster. Once you get used to it, you wont use trade chat again.

Yes, but you can paste it in any chat, it doesnt matter. It's a pm so other wont see it. "/w name message" is how it works.
You can also type /? in the chat to see all chat commands.
