use roar or eclipse (roar is more reliable, eclipse gives a larger buff but only in light). And stack with multiplicative damage buffs
Mod for viral and bleed to directly affect health since they both bypass armour and shields, rendering them useless

using limbo prime... The frame people call a troll and not good... Can see multiple negative damage due to exceeding the coding damage cap. Not even using critical hits
there is something more OP and more powerful than that, toying with frame rate , ever see someone abuse frame rate and Delete 60 eye murmur boss under 5 second ? OP's case could be the one.
or sometime the damage just too high and the game just forget to let those Angel escape to another Dimension, it happen but rare.
1) Eclipse was recently reworked into Hold/Tap and no longer relies on light levels at all - always gives full Damage Resist/Damage Buff, whichever you tap or hold to cast/switch to. So it's just as reliable as Roar now in terms of functionality. But it also got kinda nerfed(ish) as a subsume on other frames, rather than Mirage herself. And the major difference between these two now (simplified version) is that Roar buffs DoTs a lot more, while Eclipse is more oriented towards raw and upfront damage instead. But generally speaking? They kinda equal out in general gameplay... more or less, generally speaking, "ish"... Roar still being a tad bit better due to DoTs being less affected by various reductions/attenuations/nonsensical hidden mechanics over time, as well as acting like an additional layer of "Faction damage" without actually using faction-mods. But if you also use facton mods on top of that and focusing on DoT's, oof... Then yeah, Roar wins over Eclipse for sure. If DoT-stacking is even possible/viable (which is not the case for some units such as Acolytes and bosses, who have max 4-stacks of DoTs and require more upfront, raw damage instead).
And you not knowing about the change (tap/hold and no longer relying on light source) could be the 1st reason, giving OP outdated info;
2) Viral *direct damage* does not bypass armor or shields. It only applies a status that stacks up to 10 times and increases further damage received to health even under armor/shields. Which is... different from what you said. Close, but... definitely not the same. Because there's a difference between *direct damage* and applying Viral debuff stacks to increase further damage (in next point below, number 3).
Unless we are, of course, talking about fully armor-/shield-stripped enemies that now have some of the "health" types instead of armor/shields. But only SOME "health" types are vulnerable to direct Viral, when others are actually not. ALSO, there's an upcoming rework, where all the various dumb and pointless flesh/armor/shield sub-types will be removed in favor of simplicity - just one health/ one armor/one shield type, no sub-types of each at all anymore. Then yes, Viral *direct damage* does indeed deal more damage to most (but not all!) flesh types. And I'm pretty sure after the rework, this will stay too. But that's beyond the point;
3) Bleed aka Slash *direct damage* also do not bypass armor or shields. Only the bleeding DoT from slash status bypasses armor and shields indeed, via so called "Cinematic damage", which acts literally the same as "True damage", but unlike True, Cinematic actually bypasses shields. STILL! This is, again, a tad bit different from what you said. Because there is a difference between *direct damage* and applying a DoT, which - boosted by Viral stacks from previous point above - is capable of killing an enemy in a single tick that happens a second after applying it. Different stuff either way, yeah?
And yes, again, that is unless we're talking about fully armor-/shield-stripped enemies too... Then yes, Slash *direct damage* is effective... but again, only to SOME "health" types too.
THAT BEING SAID... We're talking about Void Angels, am I right?
Let's see...
- Shield: Proto Shield
- Armor: Alloy Armor
- Health: Machinery
That Shield sub-type vulnerability: Magnetic +75% / Toxin +25% / Impact +15%
That Armor sub-type vulnerability: Radiation +75% / Cold +25% / Puncture +15%
That Health sub-type vulnerability: Blast +75% / Electricity +50% / Impact +15%
And since OP mentioned armor-stripping said Void Angel via Terrify, we look at Health... Which actually has -25% from both Toxin and Viral, with no bonuses to Slash.
Soooooo... Unless that described case (by OP) was some deliberate bug/exploit, which you yourself clearly state that you know how to do...
...it should not be possible through any legit means. And I doubt it's a very good thing to so casually brag about, unless you're reporting it in a Bug-report to the devs, preferably via support ticket, hidden away from public view. Just not to spread the abuse and exploitation of said bug in the community.
Because nobody loves bug-abusers/cheaters/exploiters, especially if they are bragging about it or - worse - sharing how to do it. So to an extent... I agree with that clown award, whoever gave it to you.
Just my guess though! No offence meant.
I didn't intend to suggest foul play or anything and yeah, both players were surprised.
We all needed a minute to try to understand what happened, before we even communicated on it.
Wouldn't know. I wasn't hosting and my system is rather old by now, so I doubt I could force a glitch through those means. But I suspect some kind of technical background too, not gameplay.
