OP, Ash a run and gun, throw-shuriken-and-move-on sort of warframe. He has massive amounts of health, but not much armor. He isn't one to sustain long during heavy firefights, but he does have his "panic button/mayday" moves. His first is his cloak, which is extremely short but does stun everyone around you. So that's that. His ult, Bladestorm, is what you want to have on him if you want to kill massive amount of enemies in one room. Shuriken is good for energy efficient, powerful projectiles that don't even require aiming.
Weapons I suggest with Ash would include bows, throwing knives, and quick hitting melee weapons. Like Loki, he does get a melee damage boost while cloaked, so you'll want a fast melee for that. If you're into stealth, then bows and Kunai/Hikou will do great for dealing damage quick enough to unsuspecting targets.
Mod loadouts I would suggest include:
-His 4 moves, some people do without teleport
-Intensify
-Flow or Streamline, because he does not have a good energy pool. I'd take Streamline because you can do Bladestorm with less energy, meaning an easily available " Oh ♥♥♥♥" button.
-Continuity, for increasing his cloak. I'd suggest mainly Continuity because it uses one of his default polarities. If not, Narrow Minded works well, but leaves you to shorter ranged Bladestorms and Teleports.
-Vitality, because he can have the most health in the game, next to Zephyr
-Redirection, because shields are good to have. Despite having loads of health, Ash's armor is low, meaning he takes a lot of health damage per hit, as opposed to Valkyr, who takes a lot less HP damage per hit.
-Rush, because he's a ninja and has to move quick. Plus, that'll mean despite short Smoke Screens, you can make distance from tough enemies quicker, and move between cover faster.
Also, people, quit giving him a hard time. He has 5.1 hours, for Christ's sake. He can say magic if he damn well feels like it. In time he'll figure out it's called energy.
This is the build I use for him
EDIT: ok it seems i can't post the link. it's no forma, and a potato, mods are
Teleport/Bladestorm/SmokeScreen
Vitality
Intensify
Continuity- can be swapped with constitution
Rage
Flow
Streamline
Quickrest on the Skill polarity
Some of these mods aren't exactly easy to get, but the big ones you'll want (some of which are easy to get) are Flow, Vitality, Streamline, Rage, and Steel Charge. Oh and you'lll want Life Strike on a melee weapon.
Continuity is extremely useful, but it's rare and hard to get.
Intensify is useful, but personally odn't use his first skill as with good enough aim/a good weapon it'll become useless in higher levels. But his first skill is really useful in the early-to-mid game. It's pretty cheap to max too.His fourth skill does pretty insane damage by itself, so I wouldn't go out of my way for intensify.
If you can't get yoru hands on those two mods, just forget about them and get Constitution, which is extremely common. Just stealth through a nightmare exterminate mission (i prefer on earth due to it's typical mob density and area layouts) a couple times and you'll get it.
Look out for steel charge in alerts. You can probably try getting it from trade. This plus cloaked and a nice melee weapon will mean you can tear apart groups with ease, since it gives your melee weapon 4 times the damage
Quick rest is extremely useful for melee
When it comes to gameplay, like i mentioned above, clock + melee is really powerful. But here's how I do things. I'll purposely try to take a lot of damage so I get a lot of energy, then I'll use a high damage leeching weapon whiel stealthed to both do ridiculous amounts of damage and get all of my hp back in a few hits. Then with groups that are a bit more spread apart I'll use bladestorm if there's enough enemies.
Teleport is useful against capture targets or reaching a friend in time. It's even more useful if you don't have a copter-viable weapon (slide attacks that propell you huge distances, dual heat swords + attack speed are an example). Cloak is also useful as an escape skill, but if you're in a mission and enemies are extremely lethal you can't rely on it due to it's casting time and the fact enemies still attack even if you're invisible (they shoot where you WERE, not where you ARE). But using cloak before engaging lethal packs is useful due to the above mentioned cloak + melee. Blade storm is also useful as an escape key, more so than cloak especailly against highly lethal enemies because it grants invincibility AND a semi enemy free zone around you.
BTW, don't spend money on warframes unless you don't have much time to play or if it's Vauban (which imo is pretty weak and useless).
