do i have to level every single weapon possible for mastery?
Hello just one simple question, do i have to craft and level any weapon i find to get mastery exp and then sell them afterwards because of weapon inventory limit? I mean I really hate the system of leveling new weapons all the time just to get exp. Or is it possible to get mastery exp even tho i have equiped all my favorite guns/weapons and warframe even if they are level 30. I want to keep progressing but i also don't want to waste exp so i must level them up as well. I feel like this is such a bad idea i should be going full 30 everything to unlock all planets first, if it's also possible to get mastery exp with this but very slow, i'm still okay with it. I really hate the idea of crafting every weapon and level them up.

There is no other option but level up warframes, companions and weapons to 30, throw them away and level up fresh ones that you have not used before.

Ranking up stuff (weapons in our case, but it applies to everything) gives your Mastery rank.

Originally posted by "Wiki":
Mastery Ranking, commonly abbreviated as MR, is a method of tracking how much of the game's total content a player has experienced with points earned by ranking up Warframes, Weapons, Companions, K-Drives, Necramechs, and Archwings with Affinity; successfully completing Junctions and nodes on the Star Chart; and ranking up Intrinsics.

Unranked equipment in the inventory will begin with a mod capacity equal to the player's current MR, with the maximum MR 30. Though this will not affect the maximum capacity in any way, it provides higher-ranked players with a significant starting benefit, especially towards polarized equipment.
After polarizing Warframes, Archwings, and Necramechs, equipment will retain ability unlocks and/or ranks as if the equipment's rank were equivalent to the player's mastery rank (stats will still reset to rank 0, however).

Each rank-up increases the daily maximum Syndicate standing by 500 (starting from 16,000 for MR 0).
Each rank-up increases the maximum accumulation cap of Void Traces by 50 (starting from 100 for MR 0).
Each rank-up increases the daily maximum of Focus points earned through Focus Lenses by 5,000 (starting from 250,000 for MR 0).
Each rank-up increases the maximum enemy level in the Simulacrum by 5 (starting from 30 for MR 0).

Each rank-up for Legendary ranks awards a Legendary Core.
Each rank-up awards a Mastery Slate Orbiter Decoration.
The number of Extractors a player can deploy is Mastery Rank dependent, starting at one and increasing by one with Mastery Ranks 5 and 10; with Founders and/or Prime Access status granting an additional drone each.

Also, at MR7 you can do all quetsts.
At MR 16 you will be able to equip any and all weapons/frames/whatever
A Blessing Altar appears in the main hall of any Relay. A MR 30 player can use this altar once every 23 hours to bless all Tenno present in the relay with a buff for 3 hours.

leveling beyond 15 is optional though

well, you can max railjack and drifter intrinsics, this will give you 135k mastery and play all nodes in normal and steel path for another 55k, but considering how time consuming this can be, you better keep leveling and deleting warframes, etc

If you do indeed level up every weapons, beware before throwing them away ! Some are required to craft other weapons as materials.

Then you probably hate the whole Warframe, since it's 99% about hoarding.
There is a way to get more slots fast, such as farming plats guides, or marry a rich girl.

The game is all about "grind or pay to skip the grind".
If you still don't have fun in this game, better look elsewhere.

most of the game is about throwing things away after maxing them, sadly, until you get to the end of the game and they flip the switch in the circuit.

It takes like 20 minutes to max out a new weapon. Just play survival on the highest level you can manage. I know it seems annoying to have to level everything just to throw it away later, but you can often find a new weapon or warframe you like by doing this. I never would have picked up limbo if not for mastery ranking, but that warframe is functionally invincible at rank 0.

You only have to get to mastery rank 16 to unlock every equipment in the game, and by MR 10, most of the equipment is available to you. It sounds like more of a grind than it is. I'm enjoying pushing for more gear, because I'm getting prime parts at the same time. It really scratches my hoarding instinct.

Yes. Do some research about the weapon, usually you quickly find out if its any good or not. Then look up if its a part of a crafting recipe. If no on both, feel free to sell.
EXEPT XORIS. DONT SELL IT.

Get a booster
Equip only the weapon you want to lvl
Do 10 waves of Hydron (Sedna) in public
Your weapon is now maxed

Alternatively
Equip levelable weapon in every slot
Go to Elite Sanctuary Onslaught
Your weapons should be maxed in 2-3 rounds

Want to put a few formas on a frame?
First get Gauss and feed him to Helminth(lvl him before feeding obv) to unlock Thermal Sunder
Get the frame you want to lvl and replace the first ability in one config with Thermal Sunder
Make a build with range and efficiency
Now go to Hydron and spam Thermal Sunder
Repeat until your frame is maxed or has enough formas
From now on you can put the same Thermal Sunder build on every new frame and lvl/forma them that way, it's very ez

If you're leveling weapons you can also do that in public sortie mobile defense missions that have eximus stronghold modifier. It's not always available and you need to do sorties first to be able to repeat the mission, but it's pretty good when it is there.

If you're leveling melee one way to lvl is to mod your weapon just a little, then go to ESO solo, use Vauban's 4 and melee the enemy pile. This is a good if you want to lvl melee and don't want to bother with public.

Additionally you can very easily lvl everything by using subsumed Ensnare, Silence, Rest and Rage, etc. and doing Adaro in solo mode. Basically any ability that allows you to get stealth kills and stealth exp.

tbh, skip eso and just grind fissures with the weapons

However, an item can only count towards mastery once. If it is reset using polarization, or a second identical item is bought, it will not count towards mastery points. Only exception is Kuva, Tenet, etc. There are some other exceptions for different configs of Kitguns too. But most of the time, if you level a second of the exact same primary, secondary, melee, or warframe, only the first time leveling it counts.

warframes could much more than weapons for mastery if you want more mastery faster. there's a wiki that you can google for what give more mastery in the game.

Kinda. Leveling weapons and warframes to 30 is the only way to get mastery, but on the other hand, you'll hit a level of mastery where you don't need to worry about it anymore long before you ever go through everything in the game so you don't need to level literally everything.
