Point in necramech?
Is there a point in lvling one? I did an iso vault and literally everyone was just using their frame which made sense bc my frame is stronger then my necramech, but still - are there actually any missions that force the use of it or can I just side line it?

Both Voidrig's Guard Mode and Bonewidow's Ironbride does an absolute ♥♥♥♥ ton of damage and just like Operator mode, can be used for more offensive and defensive options in places where they apply. The Profit Taker orb in the vallis goes from easy to super easy when you can easily pack all of the elements

While they do have a lot of potential, like smacking an acolyte or carpet bombing a while area, the places where they can be summoned and their general lack of mobility hurts their usability. Personally, I think they're worth building up, even if it's just for MR but you never know if they're going to add more content for them. Better to be ready than having to farm for, make, level, and optimize at the start of an event or new modes.

Voidrig's 4th autocannon rains down 500,000+ DPS area bombardment with unlimited ammo, these mech are just another cheat mode IMO.
But if you don't want it, just dump it.

Voidrig 4 (Guard Mode, which deploys the Arquebex) is one of if not the strongest gun in the game (according to the wiki it is actually the highest DPS weapon in the whole game). It demolishes pretty much anything it looks at; that's pretty much the only reason I use my necramech now, but its a compelling reason. Blow up an Acolyte in conjunction survival, blow up an enemy necramech in deimos, blow up an eidolon on the plains, etc. You can do these things with just your warframe, but rarely as quickly or easily as the arquebex can.

There is no reason for Bonewidow to exist.
highest dps only on paper. and it is aoe. so it has disadvantages. and content for necro mech is extremely limited. Besides, it's only good in camp missions. and even acceltra prime with attack speed buff + orange/red crits build has the same kill speed. or even better because I can change rooms quickly.

It can be fun to stomp around PoE or Orb Vallis in a Voidrig with, say, the Imperator and just machinegun everything in your path.

Also, sometimes Nightwave will ask you to do it, so you might as well level that voidrig and that way it's ready to go if it's asked for.

Why use an imperator when the free mausolon you get when you build a necramech out performs it in every regard?
Voidrig is awesome for Thermia fractures for example. Pop a dispensary and then start your arquebex, mow down every enemy without having to move at all. But if you do 4 canisters, move a bit away from the fracture, the radiation proc makes you instakill your team and the canisters when you are too close.

We kept wondering what is instakilling us, until we remembered that radiation exists. Was super funny :D

So yeah, necramechs are really nice. Pretty good for bounty farming in Plains, Vallis and Cambion.
Many points are covered above but i will say you dont NEED it, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they can be stompy shooty fun times. My mech is swol and melts practically anything.

For new players: Acceltra Prime requires mastery rank 14. So Voidrig should be a better option early in game, to do 500k+ DPS AOE for no reason.
Every piece of gear contributes to mastery, but my mirage (regular, not prime) can do more DPS with a soma. I'm not sure why they added these to the game. You can easily build better warframes before you get a voidrig, and by the time your masstery is higher, the voidrig just becomes a joke.
Extra weapons, although more limited than Archguns which you eventually can wield on the ground.

Atleast the new missions against the Murmur have added extra access to Necramechs.

However, don't forget the maxed mods and formas. and then we come to limited content. because necramech can be fun. But beginners in particular lack these important mats and a lot of time for leveling up a mech. And the beginner doesn't get any important mech mods and has to farm for a long time!
and.......! Don't forget a good mech weapon, because the mech will definitely have problems with energy at the beginning....

That's why it's definitely worth avoiding pimped mech, especially at the beginning, when it comes to general progress!
Best early to mid advice would be to consider the Necramechs as call-in extra warframes with some helpful archguns and abilities on missions that allow them. Leveling them will also give mastery and there are mods like on warframes that allow them to be decently tanky and helpful to teams on open world areas.

You should end up with more than enough endo to max your basic mods by MR 5 or 6. I'm not using anything that's rare but the eclipse ability makes me do 450k dps. I'm only MR 7 right now. I am a beginner, technically. The voidrig seems like a pointless downgrade and time sink. If I did get one, I'd max it's level just for the MR, and then ignore it forever.
Power creep outmatched the necramech, because DE don't give much love to "side" content.
