New player in 2024

There are no ninjas in 2024. And the game has slowly moved away from creating new space environments, in favor of open world/fantasy maps.

There is almost no ninja now. The mission either kills as fast as you can or defends something. You can still play stealth but the rewards are not as much as kill everything as fast as you can.

That's how the game has been since 2014. The game was never rewarding for stealth except Spy where player is punished if all alarms are triggered or Rescue where player is rewarded with stronger Specter blueprints depending if they killed all Wardens and did they do it before they triggered alarms.

We are ninjas only in visuals, it's all about who can make the biggest boom to kill the most enemies in the shortest time (mandatory to be less than a second) possible.

Other than that, unless you care about cosmetics a lot, there's no way to be late to the party with WF. Just be aware that your first few weeks will be filled with overwhelming amount of poorly explained game mechanics and things happening on screen. Get ready to read a book's worth of wiki pages.

I left back in 2018 and came back last month. I am having a blast. I recommend.

They removed the pay to win aspects of the game entirely. Warframe.market is a website to help you price things so you don't get ripped off for platinum when you trade with people. I have like 3 prime frames being built as we speak and it didn't cost me a real dollar.

It is free to play and offers grind for years.
It is a lot of fun, if you know how to handle large amounts of grind.
DE is still adding content on a regular basis and warframe is still their cash cow.

Never too late. The new player experience is not the best, it never has been. Join a clan and make some friends and they will guide you through the game.

And I'll drop a couple tips cus why not. Spend your starting 50 platinum on warframe/ weapon slots. Never spend plat on rushing builds, and only spend on cosmetics once you're comfortable. You can actually get more plat by trading with other players, and the grind here is much better than it is for other games. Tip 2. Level your weapons and frame to 30 then get new ones to level, this gets exp for your main level which unlocks stuff. All those things in the equip menu that cost plat? Hit purchase, 9 out of 10 give an option to buy the blueprint for credits.

I also just started. I had played some time ago before they added the Kuva Lich. Which is actually what brought me back now. But I am nowhere near to even try that new content yet LOL... XD I always liked the Stalker, he adds such a thrill during missions, never know when he drops in to ruin my party... Defense mission LOL really great! I like having an arch enemy XD so Kuva will be awesome once I get there. Someday...

Eventually Stalker will become just another enemy and pose no threat but then Kuva liches will be a thing and once those are trivial something else will pop up... always something bigger and badder that will be in dire need of an acute lead injection ;)
