What happened to Hydroid Prime's Immortal Skin?

I used to be able to don the immortal skin on Hydroid Prime even in it's prime mode and it always looked amazing. But after some time after not playing for a while, I logged back in and I found that my Hydroid Prime looked different than last time I played. I saw that he was not wearing his prime armor anymore. He's wearing the immortal skin, but now he's back in his regular Hydroid armor. I tried to unequip and reequip the immortal skin and then the Hydroid Prime armor, but it doesn't work. So now Hydroid Prime can't wear the immortal skin over his epic pirate captain armor. What happened?

I think this is a bug that no one care about because there is no many people that main Hydroid, i am unhappy right now as well because of that. If you check Trinity for example then her prime skin have prime version of immortal skin, and normal version got normal version of immortal skin. I just want the same thing for Hydroid i miss my Hydroid Prime with proper immortal skin so much...

After introduction of Khora there are really not many people to play Hydro. Same reason as people play Nekros, loot, as soon as there is a better one he ded.

Think Hydro fell down to bottom 3 warframes on usage now as I cannot really remember when was the last time I saw someone use him.

Sad but that is how balancing with power creep design works - like ♥♥♥♥.

He has some useful utility but apart from roleplaying as a pirate there are no reasons to play him.

I still use Hydroid Prime as my main. I've been using him since I've started playing in 2018. I'm not giving up on him though. I'm just that stubborn and relentless. I'm not going to give up on my favorite frame just because the developers made him weak. And I also don't mind not having the immortal skin anymore. I switched to the Graxx skin, so now he's a water prince.

Me too. I hope Hydroid and other extremely low tiers get a buff. Maybe some more health and armor would be nice. Or a decrease in cost to his powers.
