I've never done it myself, but this is my understanding. It works exactly as if you had hunted down the guy to spawn a lich normally, except you know exactly what weapon they have ahead of time.
Trading is more of an avenue to get a specific weapon instead of cycling runs to get a potential lich/sister with the correct weapon.
Trading is an avenue to get a specific percentage on a weapon or an ephemera.
You can guarantee the weapon you want every single time just because if you don't stab a larvaling it takes the weapon out of the pool.
If 4 people are in the fight and only 1 Lich/Sister is active. Only the ones who have them active will get the rewards from the Lich/Sister. But if all 4 people in the squad have them active, you'll have to fight 4 of the Lichs/Sisters in a roll to finish the mission. But you'll only get the rewards for your Lich/Sister.
