How to disable "Gift from the Lotus" alerts replacing easier missions on map.

The alerts have a timer that is several days long. The original missions are around my level. This wouldn't be too bad if it wasn't blocking me from progressing to story related missions. I don't care about the bonuses I want to play the regular missions.

When you select that node with the alert im pretty sure it give you the choice of doing the alert or not iirc.

Yeah, as they guy above said. You click the missions and it gives you a drop down menu to select variant.
