It sounds like you want the game to fit your loadout rather than adjusting your loadout to fit the game.
Steel Path is not hard AT ALL. It can be cheesed in SO many ways.
For example, an invisible Loki + literally ANY melee can get you through about 90% of the star chart. Then all you need is a defense frame for the Def and MDef missions, and you're good to go.
If anything, I think Steel Path should be HARDER. Like, +200 or so....
it is never meant to be endgame
Read more news next time
DE has already confirmed it is not an endgame

Besides, steel path was never meant to be endgame.
Heat strips armor only to 50%, corrosive now only up to 80% instead of 100% and viral no longer halves health but instead increases damage dealt up to 325%
You seem to be forgetting the missions you have to run while all your mods are removed, and require a dedicated team with certain... frames..
Nice try though.
Some people cant throw a 90mph fastball, therefore everyone can throw a 90mph fastball.
Some players can do mythic raiding, therefore all players can do mythic raiding.
Just because some people can do a task, does not mean every person can do that task.
Edit: gotta admit thou, steel path really forces u to use top tier gear in some cases
Everyone in my clan and the friend i asked seem to think smite mods are horrible. That's also what it seemed to my newby eyes. Only 5% damage for the base one unranked, compared to the 15% damage of elemental ones or serration and the like.
Does it take place somewhere else in the damage calculation? Any reason why you suggest it?
B) it double dips slash/toxin/gas(rip) procs by increasing damage of proccing hit AND by increasing DoT's damage
