You can practise the tests before actually performing them, go to any relay and quick travel to Cephalon Simaris an turn right when you're inside his room. hope this helps.

Head over to a relay and go to Cephalon Simaris. You can practice mastery tests there for as long as necessary. Also just take a weapon that kills them in one hit. As long as you deal lethal damage it's considered stealth.

If you manage to get down the stealth attacks then you can also Cheese it with Skiajati (You get it from The Sacrifice). Even though you can't use invis abilities the weapon's special effect is that it makes you invisible for a short amount of time on a finisher.

i noticed that if you touch the enemy at all before pressing x, youre unable to mercy kill them. additionally if you just slap them with a melee strong enough to one shot them you wont be detected by the others thus not failing the test. just gotta make sure none of them see you, ended up needing to melee half of the enemies when i was doing this test last week

Use a heavy melee weapon like a sword or scyte that can one shot them, and do quick atacks pressing E. As long you stay out of sight you are golden.
