Once they started trying to explain all this stuff, everything became not only complicated but also really boring.
Honestly I feel like the game lost its essence and due to the developers trying to add different story ideas and mechanics from other games, Warframe has become an amalgam of everything stitched together.
I didn't like the Operator not being you but just a character in the game that we happen to control and also a brat
I didn't like the cringe/edgy/2010 drama novel book story of some warframe
I didn't like the weird out of character decisions the Lotus took in her arc
I especially didn't like the ending of New War, it completely ruined the whole point of the quest in the ending
Though it was said that we are NOT THE ONLY TENNO and quest missions seem to imply that it's about the story of the Tenno as a race then why is the story revolve only around 1 Tenno specifically
The latest entry is more of a return to form IMO.
Nothing specifically in New War was bad, just the execution left a lot to be desired. If just doing a trope or a whole general feel was in itself bad, nobody could write anything. In reality, things like poor pacing and lack of proper exposition are what cause problems. As an example, while I find it very tiresome to keep playing "somebody else" all the time, the latest story bits have proven interesting enough that I'm willing to tolerate it at least to see what happens.
Because that specific Tenno, the "Chosen Operator" is the one that jumpstarted it all when she/he made the deal with the Man In The Wall on board of the Zariman.
Eternalism, the core concept in WF, states that all possibilities exist at the same time, but we can only perceive the one that is currently observed, and well, in our case, the one we can observe is the one where our Tenno accepted the handshake from the Man In The Wall, which is even signified by all other versions of our Tenno "dying" right as we took the handshake.
Another proof that our Tenno is the one that's "observed" are the stuff we got in the Wispers In The Walls with those files from Entrati himself, which showed that someone, or something, was specifically observing our Tenno and waiting for the right moment before they (because there's more than one, in the file they referred to themselves as "us" and "our") started the Kalymos Sequence.
There is a reason why the Lotus acted out of character, there is a reason why the story tried to make us her enemy, a lot of things are interconnected and only start making sense later in the story, so a bunch of things that appear as "plot holes", might not actually be plot holes at all, it's just that the specific lore behind said thing hasn't been discovered by the player, or added to the game by devs yet.
Warframe doesn't really survive off of its storytelling so don't know what you're referring to.
If you're bored, that's fine. Play something else. It's the natural end point of any live service game anyway. Just remember whether or not you enjoy something is a completely separate matter from whether or not it's genuinely good or bad or if other people can enjoy it or not.
Yes, that was shown in The New War and no that still does not explain why there are no other Tennos assisting in the story, I remember that the Lotus had a bunch of them near her.
"Eternalism, the core concept in WF, states that all possibilities exist at the same time, but we can only perceive the one that is currently observed, and well, in our case, the one we can observe is the one where our Tenno accepted the handshake from the Man In The Wall, which is even signified by all other versions of our Tenno "dying" right as we took the handshake."
Core concept? I'm pretty sure it's in the game's name on what is the core concept, even it is Eternalism it still does not have to do with anything. It just only explains this happen in this timeline but that does do anything at all since what matters is what is currently happening in the observed version.
"so a bunch of things that appear as "plot holes", might not actually be plot holes at all, it's just that the specific lore behind said thing hasn't been discovered by the player, or added to the game by devs yet."
So you mean to tell me that if I was a story writer, I can wait for my readers to point out the plot holes in my story and cover it up with some random Rick and Morty gag to explain it and say it was all part of the story all along?
