Cancel link to steam / delete account

Hello community, is it possible to cancel the link to my steam account and delete my warframe account? If possible without installing the game. How to? Thank you

But why? Kindof a dramatic move even if you intend to not play the game again.

I honestly have no idea, but if thats what you really want, I would expect the WF account deletion would also remove any links associated to it.

1. Contact support through the warframe site.

2. Steam is just a platform, so if you don't play/uninstalled the game it won't be there.

So you mean, when I uninstall the game, the link to steam account is gone as well, I'm not so sure about that. Thank you anyway.

Even if it is linked, they can't do anything to your account or for your account without your permission. So if you just ignore warframe and stop following any discussions you should stop getting warframe news and won't see anything about warframe anymore.

And if you go the whole distance of getting the account deleted, then the account is gone and nothing else will happen.

They might still maintain the account link information though so that you can't link a different account. Only one warframe link per steam account, forever. No changing accounts on a steam account.

But again, we aren't sure of all the information. You should contact warframe support on their website to find out what they can do. Maybe they can do more than we expect, but most likely, they just won't let you switch the link but will just say, if you ignore warframe, it goes away.

for best results. youd need to log into the game thrue steam, and unlink it from inside the game in the options tab. if you have your account deleted for warframe, then decide to play later without disengaging the link inside the game first, youd be stuck where trying to log in again means your game will be stuck trying to log into an account that nolonger exists. basicly a user caused null value. think putting the empty milk jug back in the fridge. if you go back for that milk... you still have the empty jug and no milk.

tried it before with an alt account i had made for support tickets when my main was compermised.

Aside from trying to circumvent a game ban there's pretty much no reason to ever do this.

And even if you were banned most likely your Steam account is already flagged for future account creation

I will say that conclusion is quite a stretch, even as OP has chosen not to give a reason. Something I intend to respect.

something about this seems odd, hopefully its not a compromised steam account or game.
