What is the point of this game?
I have now gotten 2 warframes to lvl 30. Should I actually start another one from 0? Since I'm not doing any damage, am I forced to do the initial content again and again?

Is the whole point of this game to keep leveling the same items with different skins or is there more to it?

you change items/frame to rank up your mastery that it, MODS are to increase your damage outcome and such things

Gear levels work different here. All it does really is give you more mod capacity. Its really the mods that truely increase your damage and abilities's potency.

But if I understand correctly, I can't immediately install my upgraded mods in a lvl 1 weapon. Even at lvl 10, just 1 upgraded mod fits in there.

You can expand what weapons and warframes can hold through various means. Focus on damage-dealing mods in your weapons early on and look for weapons with innate polarities that match those damage-dealing mods.

Orokin Catalysts can be used to double the weapon's base mod capacity, and Forma can be used to add/change polarities. A fully-leveled weapon with enough forma and catalysts can support nearly 100 capacity worth of mods.

You have to max rank your weapon (lvl 30) then use a FORMA to reset it back to 1 while selecting a mod polarity in one of the mod slots.

When you install a mod with a corresponding slot polarity the cost of that mod is halved which allows you to install more powerful mods.

Rinse/repeat until your weapon is nuking everything in existence.

To expand on what was said, you will see small symbols in the mod slot boxes when you upgrade an item. Those are for a simple way to put it catagories. If you put in a mayching mod, the mod cost is cut in half.

You can also upgrade the mods and that costs endo and credits. Resources you should be getting naturally by just doing missions. Keep in mind a upgraded mod will cost more capacity to slot in.

Each mod has different drain if you rank them up they cost more but do more. You can change polarity of slots so it reduces cost if mod matches polarity its in. You can also double the weapon/frames drain cap so max is 60 instead of 30, meaning you start with 30 drain if you apply it on something thats level 0 then will cap at 60. There is other weird stuff i havent fully gotten into.

Warframe is basically grind same copy paste content to unlock frames and weapons and craft them, upgrade them mod them. The biggest progression mechanic is modding and platinum earning. Platinum is premium currency you can buy or earn via ingame trading.

The modding can gets absurdly in depth and weird. Games biggest flaw is nothing is ever explained in any way so you need youtube/wiki.

The frames arent skins more like 'heroes' in other games. They do have skins though.

there was going to be more to it but its been taken over by a certain company/government and its potential has been snipped.. you now grind to grind better/more effeciently. thats it the entire reason to play the game is to play the game slightly better than yesterday until they nerf yesterdays abilities and introduce another hamster wheel to run on.

TLDR of warframe. It's a grind game. You repeat missions to extract the necessary things to then do more difficult missions to faster complete the grind.

Saying that. This game is a straight power fantasy game. Warframe to rank 30? Level your weapons. Then add a catalizer to reset the level to add more mods in. Then nuke the map, walk through missions invisibly, make the enemies fight themselves, run/fly past the enemies.

My recommendation. Check out videos on the warframes. See which one you find interesting and set that as your goal. Some are a lot more difficult to aquire then others but it is not all bad.

Then level that frame. Now find a weapon you wanna try. There's everything from machine guns, to gatling guns, to saw spitters, to maggot spawners, the almighty Stug etc.

Warframe is all about finding an interesting character/weapon in the game and squeezing as much potential as you can out of it. Don't feel pressured or fomo if you have a long journey ahead of you for what you want. The journey is fun

CORRRECT!! Take it from a founder, there is no point currently why I quit more than 3 years ago. Can thank DE for just focusing on new player experiences and forgetting their game has no value outside this.

Yeah, you collect gear, frames, and mods, build up your armory so that you can slaughter bosses in seconds, and then go on the Steel Path...

... which is the exact same game again, except your best guns take over a minute to kill a basic grunt. (only a slight exaggeration)

what a stupid question... the point is the same for every other game in the planet, having fun.
Stop thinking so much on a game, use your brain on school bro.
