Set mod bonus affects all equipped items?

I heard that the Gladiator set bonus applies to everything you have equipped, so do all set bonuses work the same? Lets say for example I put the Sacrificial set on one weapon, would its set effect buff all other weapons?

I'm pretty sure Gladiator's only works on melee although it isn't specified in its text.

As for Sacrificial mods, I don't get what you mean or by what logic would they even work.

I have them on my melee would the bonus transfer to the Valkyr prime talons?

The set bonus applies to what the set bonus says it applies to. Multiple pieces of equipment can have mods that contribute to the same set bonus.

The set doesn't have to be on the weapon itself. Best example I can give is that I have 4 Vigilante set mods on my Sentinel weapon and it works on my Primary.
