In other words that you keep buffs while entering the bubble and still can cast buffs inside, and stuff like snow globe and reservoirs are immune to them ?
I think it's an unnecessary change. What i might want to change/balance is the destruction of the bubble : with a very powerful slow hitting weapon, to destroy a bubble is an ordeal. I personnally think it's still fine. Go grab a rapid firing secondary or a miter and it's no longer an issue.
It starts shrinking because either someone is shooting it from the outside, or they are moved into a smaller space and the bubble is shrinking down to fit. Seems perfectly reasonable.
Nullifiers is as redundant as that Supra tech guy , if players even remember that
Nothing you've written here says anything about why they're 'outdated' - only that you don't like them.
They are annoying - but the design philosophy of this game is 'give the players a bunch of cool toys to play with and then introduce enemies that will make it basically impossible to use them so instead of being a unique play experience you will just run and gun like every other looter-shooter'.
However, Nullifiers are super easy, barely an inconenience. You just shoot them and the bubble pops pretty quick. Or you run up into their face and melee them.
The real ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are the Infested Ancients - all have the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 'I'll knock you down on the ground even though you jumped behind me during the windup' harpoon attack and the actual ass in the game are the energy drain ones.
Those have *massive fething armor and HP pools* so you can't kill them quickly, like to hide next to the wall in the next room over, and will drain your energy in about 5 seconds.
the 'weak spot'
is LESS EFFICIENT.
Indefensibly awful game design
i built a tank frame its imune to energy leach extermis and has an ability that can affect a overguarded enimy as that ability does 0 damage but is ironicly still a CC ability in my books and still works but the only thing this build fears is nully bubbles and somba units (the dudes with the foggy pulse that have ice scates /rolar blades on their feet) as those things will turn off my frame buffs to both damage and survivability
what you suggest is flawed as it only takes into account abilitys that affect an enimy not a player or an area like how would this work for that frame with the damage absorber ability wow just max range and duration and chill in ranged weapons are useless? sure you cant kill enimys but lets be serious here do you need to kill anything to progress missions like mobile defence , mirror defence , defection , spy , interception (sure i get it at the end you need to clear the room but not an issue at that point as there is no time limit on how long you got to do that)
