you get a steel essence and they're about the same speed as the normal missions. Missions are less boring with more enemies.

Its the +1 essence u get. Thats it. Only reason to run it over the regular versions.

Mh the biggest reason is that normal fissure mission can be as low as lv15-20, for 10-ohs, who fight enemies above lv200, it is the "boringest" content, i would rathe ki.. me then play that.

The game is misuderstood: You simply start out on the standard Star Chart, then you prepare and hone until you get warm with Steel Path, normally around MR 12.

Then you never play something else: This will net you all resources in an acceptable amount and it is a more enjoyable game due to having the opportunity of incoming damage.

the community is mega grateful DE designed the Netracells, Archon Hunts and even a good portion of Whispers around Steel Path.

Steel Path always offers: Double Resources, unlimited enemy spawns (more XP) and it doubles the chance on Mods! That is a lot of Plat.

Maybe you can find your way and prepare a bit, it gets easier and will feel as fast as the main game once you made it your main star chart.

SP fissures have their own missions which may or may not be the same mission type.

e.g. Regular meso fissures might have mobile def and survival which take 5min+ to do while SP meso might have capture and rescue which take <3min to do. So doing SP is faster in this case. Basically you just have more missions to choose from and them being SP is irrelevant with certain mission types.

While not wrong I feel like thats not the best reason to play SP fissures over regular ones. Again ur right, you get more choice in which mission u want to run. But reward wise the only difference is +1 essence from SP missions. That's the main reason to consider running SP, other than that there really isnt much significant difference/reason to switch (other than the minor extra choice you have for what you described).

So basically I pick the one that has better and faster mission objective.
lets say exterminate or capture.
Whichever side has those I will run it. Cause I can finish them faster.

So if there is a axi capture mission or an excavation do you choose the excavation because the capture is too boring? I think everyone would choose the capture because they just want to crack open the relic and move on as fast as possible.

Also you never know who has SP unlocked. I'm MR13 but only just came back to the game after 4 years. I have heaps of stuff to catch up on.

Basically if I were to choose which mission I'd pick out of those two I'd take capture over excav purely because its much easier and faster, less complicated too. Excav can be excellent if all 4 ppl know what to do and how to do it optimised, then it can be one of the fastest missions (note I said one of, not THE fastest). However you can only rely on premades for good excav runs. Capture u can run with the dumbest ppl and still win in fairly short time. Bonus points if capture is SP for free essence.

If your goal is open as many relics as fast as possible without regard for bonus essence from SP then yeah. If your goal is to open relics quickly but efficiently then always keep an eye out for fast missions in SP.

If I could choose I'd run exterminate every time cuz while yes, capture can be very quickly finished, from my experience u often need to wait for spawns. Ppl are very tempted to just rush to extract when the chance is given to them, without regard for their own reactant or of their teammates. So what ends up happening is the mission is dragged out, sometimes minutes, just to fill your or one of your teammates reactant to full.

In exterminate u have that maybe 1 in 100 runs, safe to say it almost never happens. And im not sure if its a feeling or fact but I feel like in exterminate the game spawns much more reactant compared to capture or other missions. Maybe because of higher mob density compare to capture? No idea, but probably.
