The game is misuderstood: You simply start out on the standard Star Chart, then you prepare and hone until you get warm with Steel Path, normally around MR 12.
Then you never play something else: This will net you all resources in an acceptable amount and it is a more enjoyable game due to having the opportunity of incoming damage.
the community is mega grateful DE designed the Netracells, Archon Hunts and even a good portion of Whispers around Steel Path.
Steel Path always offers: Double Resources, unlimited enemy spawns (more XP) and it doubles the chance on Mods! That is a lot of Plat.
Maybe you can find your way and prepare a bit, it gets easier and will feel as fast as the main game once you made it your main star chart.
e.g. Regular meso fissures might have mobile def and survival which take 5min+ to do while SP meso might have capture and rescue which take <3min to do. So doing SP is faster in this case. Basically you just have more missions to choose from and them being SP is irrelevant with certain mission types.
lets say exterminate or capture.
Whichever side has those I will run it. Cause I can finish them faster.
Also you never know who has SP unlocked. I'm MR13 but only just came back to the game after 4 years. I have heaps of stuff to catch up on.
If I could choose I'd run exterminate every time cuz while yes, capture can be very quickly finished, from my experience u often need to wait for spawns. Ppl are very tempted to just rush to extract when the chance is given to them, without regard for their own reactant or of their teammates. So what ends up happening is the mission is dragged out, sometimes minutes, just to fill your or one of your teammates reactant to full.
In exterminate u have that maybe 1 in 100 runs, safe to say it almost never happens. And im not sure if its a feeling or fact but I feel like in exterminate the game spawns much more reactant compared to capture or other missions. Maybe because of higher mob density compare to capture? No idea, but probably.
