Account linking PS4 and PC

I want to activate cross save between my PS4 account and my PC account, but I can't seem to figure out how. If someone could dumb it down for me that would be much appreciated. I just wanna be able to access stuff both on PC and PS4.

what i did was the one-time only account merge. on the warframe.com website, you wanna log in, and it'll ask you to also log into the corresponding console account. with the website understanding you're logged into both accounts, it'll ask you which one you want to be the primary account, and which one is secondary. the secondary inventory (weapons, credits, frames, cosmetics, etc) will be integrated into the primary, allowing access to both

for example, i hadn't touched my PS4 account in like 8 years. so i set my PC as primary, then PS4 as secondary. after logging into the game, i got 10 mails for various stuff that happened on PS4, and some doubles of frames and weapons i already had on PC. so i just had to clean up inventory shortly after, and even subsumed an Ember it gave me

So I have to have both of them on? Or I need to log in separately on two different instances of the warframe site? Or do I need to make a PC account as well?

since you're asking here, i assumed you already had a PC account. but it works the same as Prime Access/Twitch linking where it'll have a red button to click, it'll ask you to log into that account, and now they'll be connected and ready to merge

Yeah I don't have a PC account yet. But you made sense enough. So make a PC account and link the two. I know this is probably dumb and annoying but I use a different Email for my PC account than the one for my PS4 account right?

well thing is, i believe they said both accounts have to have been made before Aug 23rd in order to be linked. so you're well past that and won't be able to. if you want to continue on PC, best thing you can do is do an account migration, but that'd cause you to lose the PS4 account

You are getting confused with link and merge. And it was November 24th not August. Accounts created after November 24th cannot merge, only link.

OP, take extreme caution when linking. If you link your account, make SURE you choose your playstation account to be your primary or you will lose everything on it. Do NOT choose PC as your primary when linking, I repeat, do NOT choose PC as your primary when linking or you are going to have a very bad day.

Make sure you read all the warnings prior as there will be multiple of them. Read them slowly so you understand and everything will go smoothly.

Tomorrow, 22nd December between 8am ET and 5pm ET is when they will open cross save linking back up. If you want to do it, you'll need to do it then or you won't get another chance until the new year.

Make a PC account on the website, doesn't matter if it uses the same email address as your playstation. Once the account is created, you'll go through the process of linking. As mentioned above, read carefully and do not choose your primary account based off of what platform you'll be playing on. You choose your primary based on what accounts progression you wish to keep. So choose your PS4 account as the primary and you'll be fine.

You don't have an eligible account to merge, but you do to link. Linking pretty much accomplishes exactly what you want. You'd only merge if you had a PC account with items you'd want to merge with your PS4 account, but since you are going to be creating a brand new PC account, linking is available to you and exactly the option you should be going for anyway.
