Unlinking account

Hello. I have a family member who had an old account in Warframe that was linked to Steam. We've contacted support to get that one unlinked and we were told to contact from the account we currently use. And that one got banned. Does this mean we must start charging back with paypal?

Did you actually contact support to transfer ownership of an account, how dumb are you?

You literally gave them more information so they could ban your other account, it's against their ToS and they operate on a zero tolerancy for breaches of their ToS.

It was not me who contacted. But the support was asked to unlink old account from Steam. We were told to contact on the current account and now both are gone.
I'm not looking for any sort of drama or an appeal. Just wondering how to get the account off Steam.

What do you mean get the account off Steam, this makes no sense.
Warframe PC accounts are not "Directly linked" to steam.
You can make a new account and play it with from the old steam account since its not linked in anyway.

You can link accounts between PC and other consoles, that is a different thing, but it will probably be availble next week... at least we hope.

Some TennoGen items do not arrive on the account that was last logged in. They take the money and no skins appear.

There was no other account logged in. Your steam account isn't linked to your warframe account.

You login to whichever account you want in-game, steam just handles the installation and payment processing, the rest is the Warframe Client.

Also, you often need to refresh your inventory before you see items, so go load in to a mission and then just leave it. It'll refresh your items from the server.

This company is a literal JOKE, they banned an account i had on a different email address for having cheat engine open in my memory processes (not hooked to anything) as i was playing a previous single player game with cheats... They sent me an email saying i was banned because of this... i appealed and sent screen shots of the game that i had been cheating on and the fact it was never hooked to warframe and got the ban reversed with a final warning... they then, after almost a year, tried pinning RMT on that account WHEN I'D NOT EVEN PLAYED IT!! last time i was on was like 29th of December LAST YEAR!! Which now brings me to my steam account... Banned for no reason at all, fresh lvl 1 account made only through Steam... Sent a ticket no reply... Looks like these invasive fkers IP ban you when they ban you... I so wish there was someone above them to force them to unban me as this is a proper joke of a company that ban players who basically brought this game to what it is, i have spent 1000's on this game across multiple accounts!! SHAME ON THIS COMPANY!!

None of the video game companies know if you were cheating in a different game. Their Anti-cheat detected known cheat signatures in your computer when you ran the game and banned you. VAC ban works the same way. You can't blame game company for this.

I do love cheaters self-reporting and getting upset about it lol.

Literally everyone knows that if you cheat or mod, it's your responsibility if you get punished, not the game. You chose to cheat and then were careless with cleaning up after yourself, not to mention how I've heard this story before and it's turned out they were using CE on the game they were banned from.

The game got a system that warn you if you use CE, so its honestly user error sometimes.

not entirely true. you can log into warframe then go into settings to lock the account to that steam from inside warframe. that said, if you can nolonger log in, your screwed as you cannot unlink it from steam unless you are inside the game,

you know most of the chat moderators in warframe have ban command at thier finger tips and wont hesitate to ban anyone who disagrees with them. even if you just say the sky is cyan when they said its blue lmao.

They literally admitted this is exactly what they did. They cheated in another game and then forgot to clean up after themselves, so opened another game which caught CE being open still. I'm not making assumptions, they openly admitted what they did and were caught for. I never said they cheated IN Warframe.

Maybe read things through before you make your own assumptions about the responses? If anyone jumped on any bandwagon it was you defending them with zero context.

Not to mention, the ridiculous assertion that the chat mods would ban you for saying the sky is cyan? If you can't make a point without exaggeration, you're probably talking nonsense.

They ban people for repeatedly off-topic conversations which are commonly offensive topics too, like recently when people were talking about literally 'breeding' Warframes in the region chat for some reason. Understandably they don't want that type of discussion in their game and most other people don't want to read it unless they're making fanfiction.
