it already easy , in the past you have to grind yourself.
Is it annoying that a main quest requires a very out of the way thing that is only used briefly anyway? Very much so.
But along the path of grinding your Necramech you'll rank up The Family which is necessary for several features in the game (Ex. Helminth). You'll also be doing Isolation vaults which give a good chunk of resources if you open the vault itself, many of which are useful to newer players. Plus refined gems and fish can be traded allowing friends to help with part of the grind or using the player market.
Is it ideal? No, not at all. But it's not as bad as you think it is and if I'm being perfectly honest, it works as a good stopgap for new players entering higher level content that is post New War (excluding if you buy the Necramech out right).
Spend time working on your Warframes, schools, and weapons while you grind your Necramech. You'll be doing yourself a favor in later content and believe me, rushing into it doesn't do yourself or anyone else any favors.
I also want to add that needing a Necramech is a better alternative than having more content being mastery locked.
Not to mention that yeah, voidrig sets are selling for like 80p lol, which shouldn't be hard to get for anybody who has reached far enough into the game to play the new war if they really don't want to do it the normal way
