starting over?

so ive played for years back in the day on ps4, made it to either mr13 or 14, tons of primes, riven mods, customization and the like.

my question is, should i start again on pc? or should i wait for cross save. and if i dont wait for cross save, what happens to my new account? is it all gone? will the gear fuse together? will i be given loot in exchange with all the gear that gets wiped? will i lose all my ps4 progress if i do choose to start over without waiting for cross save?

Q: What is Account Linking?
Linking will allow you to select one Warframe account as your Primary Account. You may use the progress and purchases of that Warframe account back and forth across multiple different platforms.

where do i do that? warframe website or what?

you should wait for cross save to come out. creating an account on pc now to play in the mean time would be my recommendation, however that account would not be eligible for merging as it will have been created after the limit date of eligibility.

so either wait for cross save to link your account or create a temp account to play on and get reacquainted with the game while you wait for linking.

Just play on console, anything you do on pc right now would be pointless if you are thinking about crossave, as your only option would be to link which override either your pc or console progression.

Yes, provided the console accounts you wish to include in the Merge were created before the cutoff date and also were not created through a previous PC-to-console account migration.

This will create a unified Warframe Cross Platform Save Account. You can then Merge the remaining console accounts with your newly created Cross Platform Save Account as you would normally."

You're able to make a fresh pc account and link your ps4. Im almost certain anything you earn in the time between now and when your account merges is saved. Dont quote me though

In general, I would wait. If nothing else then your previous resources; time; and input will still exist and be recoverable and you will not have lost much versus waiting for DE to work out the cross merges and such.

out of curiosity since ive been out of the loop for years now, when is cross save coming? does it even have a date yet or is it still TBD?

Nothing wrong with that! I think it was intended to be rather soon but recently received a delay. The main forum might have a better description for the situation but I think some complication slowed it down or some such. Still, it might be a good bet to keep progress when it is ready. The idea from what I was reading was hitting folks in batches so perhaps that first wave had some hiccups. I hope it goes well in the end.

yeah its been a while and i feel like trying it again, i played it for a solid about of time so i got burnt and didnt understand the endgame modes and such and global chat wasnt helping, so i just took a long vacation lol, im pretty sure my kubrow is long dead and ive missed tons of free holiday stuff but i cant get on console as i lost my online subscription and im not paying for it just for one game lol, thanks for the help maybe ill see you in game on a random mission somewhere

Depends on when you took your hiatus. There was an update a little bit back that took out Kurbow dying over time! I feel you about the missing stuff, its a shame there isn't a section in the codex or something to revisit missed holiday, event, or nightwave/alert stuff. Good luck with the missions and I hope if you have questions that the forum here can be more helpful.
