Quick story question
Stopped playing Warframe due to work and wanted to get back at it. Mostly just grinded out the game and didn't rush the story early on. Quick question, right now, I'm just at Rell, estimated how long would it take me to play through all the main story mode right now just to put me up to speed to the most current update?

the story can pretty much all be done in 1 day...
the only thing that might slow you down if you dont wanna buy a necramech with platinums is grinding for one in order to continue the story.

A couple of days maybe. New war is long-ish. Sacrifice is a few hours at most. And you need some farms done, like necramech and railjack.

Heh, honestly, got excited with the necramech and bought it with my spare plat. All that's left is to make it stronger. 1 day seems like possible if I spend the whole day playing so that's something to take note of. Maybe during a break time.

Thankfully finished Railjack manually now so I guess that's one less to worry about. Heard new war might be interesting.

But in general, thanks for the answers guys. really helps a lot. Gonna try and finish a few main missions during the holidays and see if I can finish it in a few days so I can catch up.
I would set aside a weekend for the New War. It won't take that long, but you don't want to rush it.

They say that you can get accidentally soft locked in New War, is that true? I read it somewhere way back then and the person was complaining that once you get in, you can't get out till you finish it. Is there anything that I should do, or make sure I make strong enough before doing New War?

Your operator Amp. Make sure it's one you crafted and that it's decent at least.
Some claim the quest is doable with the starter mote amp and others say otherwise. But why make it difficult for yourself? The weakest craftable amp (111) is a far better option than the mote amp.

You don't need a beefed up Railjack and Necramech. You use them for such short periods, even if they're unmodded you'll do fine. But it wouldn't hurt to have the bare essential common mods on them.

The quest takes ~4 hours to complete so make sure you don't have other plans in-game before starting it. You can quit the game and resume the quest at any time but the rest of the game's content is locked out until you finish the quest.

The "soft lock" in new war is most likely the two railjack sections, with people going in with bare bones, unmodded railjacks with no intrinsics. It's still possible, but it's tough and people don't want to struggle at all. Even just getting the basic parts from clan dojo dry dock, preferably mk.III versions make it a cake walk. You really just need to increase the hull and shield stats a bit to survive, and not just sit in the areas that kill you without moving to the next safe area.

The necramech part is like nothing, even unmodded and unranked should be able to handle that with just the necramech and the base mausolon.

i did new war with vanilla railjack and mote amp. nothing modded or leveled.

there is no difficulty at all really.
as long as you know what you're doing, you shouldn't have any issues.
just watch the videos and listen to instructions when they're given and you'll get everything on first try.

What is your definition...

of 'quick'?

The operator amp is still a bit of odd to me. I suppose I just haven't spent enough time to understand how to make it stronger. I'll check up some guides and see if it helps me.

Thankfully I enjoyed Railjack enough times that I think I can manage that part.

Noted, but I suppose it won't hurt to be careful.

A few hours to 4 days at best?

Shouldn't take long, most of the time spent will be waiting on crafting or prep time if you decide to go into the later quests with progression or rush it.
