Duviri Paradox ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks.
It's like DE wanted to make a Dark Souls clone, but didn't know wtf they were doing did a cheap cop-out of using the same engine.
The first group of enemies is unbeatable, melee, ranged, doesn't matter. Drifter is one of the slowest and clunkiest characters in gaming, he's gotta get checked out for anemia cuz he doesn't have the physical strength to swing those swords in a timely manner.
I heard from a few people that lategame arcanes and stuff is gated by it, and if so, thats fine. I'm pretty resigned that im never gonna get to lategame. Liches are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nightmare, and thats midgame, so yknow. I think i'll just be content with doing my survival farmings.

DE, your game is becoming too bloated.

how is any inaccurate decision a developer does a good thing for you? it applied buffs, they had to rework the Operator with Duviri, he got his ability animations instead of the melee animation, the effect is even the same, calling abilities we use all day junk is weird. So they even were in there REWORKING the Operator.

Lets sum this up: all is ingame already with animations and mechanics and even on several weapon categories tested and optimized and working. But then they cut it in tiny little pieces and sprinkle it over Playtest-Content Islands, forget to implement it into our Operator to rush it out and the Update even cuts cool animations we enjoyed for years...

and thats a professional decision and now we have to

i do believe maybe in future operator able to use melee, just for cutting those thicc eximus shield.

believe...?

i got it,you just want operator to work like warframe, able to shoot and slash, and making warframe get replace by operator.

the momment operator able to use better gun and sword, its that time people joke about "this game are too easy, even operator can EZ level cap enemy with out warframe"

Agree on the combat side. Trying to add a Dark Souls mechanic in a game that spawns a CROWD of enemies every time is just BS.
The Duviri Paradox is an excellent primer for acclimating the average gamer to Warframe's high mobility gameplay. its decree system eases players into the proper mindset for modding weapons, frames, and everything else. Even the story is a microcosm of DE's writing, as well as being an fine tale on its own. Anyone who has ever had to claw their way out of depression will recognize it.

I disagree. Duviri is wildly different than basegame. I originally played at launch on Xbox, then on and off over the years on PC till now. Drifter barely slides, and as I've said before, his attack/movement/dodge speed is stuck in low gear, while the enemies are essentially mobs from normal game.
Decrees bear far more resemblance to Railjack decrees than modding, so maybe it's a good primer for that.
People are forgetting I cannot earn decrees, I'm not even in the loop yet.
DE just wanted to make content. That's ok I guess, I'll pass on the half-baked mode.

I disliked it at first, but it grew on me. It's a fun little departure from the rest of the game and I enjoy the roguelike aspect of it. I often find myself just doing every sidequest I see in order to keep getting stronger and seeing those numbers go up. I only have two real complaints:

The melee is pushed WAY too hard. You get so many melee weapons, so many melee decrees, so many melee mechanics, and your ranged options are just the same pistol. And there's that stupid melee stance that automatically switches your pistol to a sidearm if you dare to try hitting E at an nearly dead enemy and trying to shoot just has you standing there tossing your arms up and down until you "switch" back to the pistol you were using.

The balancing is pretty bad. The story part of it and the early game (before you get overpowered intrinsics, and the start of each mission before you get decrees) can feel frustrating when you're getting stunlocked by a few guards while dealing a quarter of their health per headshot. Then they barely ever scale up so before long you can one-shot a miniboss or even an entire group of mobs.

Other than that, I like it. It's a cool world with decent rewards and fun little stories told during each spiral, and there are the undercroft sections in between them for people who prefer the frame combat. It's not exactly what I would have asked for, but I will continue to play it from time to time

i feel the same way.

the thing is there will always be opposition no matter what DE's direction is , it's either too much of the same or it's not like Warframe , there's never a middle ground.

Everything that's in Warframe is by tautology "like Warframe"

Warframe is the Path of Exile of Looter Shooters.
They bloated the game with a lot of unfun things that do not connect well.
They keep adding side currencies, side activities instead of improving the main game so that you always have a backlog of things to do and you are never complete.
They also bar you a lot of stuff behind mandatory content that you did not ask for.
I am the oldest founder in this game, I know it: 28 October 2012.

If you don't want new content, why are you playing a live service game?

people just dont like grinding and hope DE always ship out "very fun" game mode they looking for.

i dont mind grinding,if DE able to keep ship out different game mode in every big update,i wont mind trying it,Duviri is fun,SP circuit is fun and have decent rewards.

The issue isn't the mode. The issue is how the mode was designed.

RNG rogue lite. Oh and the super slow combat for a fast paced combat game.

I wished we could have modded the drifter weapons instead of the RNG roguelite crap
