It happened to many players.
You can ask for help ingame in the recruit chat, many veteran players offer help to new players.
You can add me if you can't find anybody to help but it would be better for you to learn to get help from recruit chat.
- 1st ability is movespeed, status immunity/removal while standing in the trail, and the fire procs will cc regular enemies
- 2nd ability throws a ring and burns enemies making them drop extra orbs, but it also applies a debuff making them take double damage (I forget if that's increased by strength mods. it's good either way). This debuff works on the Lich themselves
- 3rd ability gives you a large bonus shield/health pool and burns nearby enemies. If you cast it while you're taking damage, it will absorb damage for the first 3 seconds and multiply the bonus health you get.
- Mod for health, armor, strength, and as much duration as you can fit
For weapons, you'll want a generically strong weapon (anything you're already comfortable with that you can hit reliably) and you want to mod for whatever damage type your lich is WEAK to (you can check that in your orbiter by going to navigation and clicking the lich symbol in the bottom right). Personally I like using crit kitguns because of the kitgun-arcane "Pax Charge" that turns them into battery weapons (essentially infinite ammo). Those take a while to farm/build because of faction reputation though so it might not help immediately. There are other charge-based weapons like the bubonico (clan dojo) but sadly most have higher MR requirements (bobonico and shedu both are MR13) so they're likely out of your level range. If you don't mind farming a prime weapon, the Fulmin Prime would also work there. As for an ammo efficient weapon I personally like for Lich hunting, get the Cedo from "Father's" shop in the Deimos open world hub. It has a very strong alt-fire that will apply tons of status, and the weapon gains bonus damage based on how many status effects are on your enemy.
I understand your dilemma. The same thing happened to me and that turd annoyed the crap out of me for several months before I was confident enough to deal with him. The REAL chore is farming the parazon mods. It is a testicle-shrinking chore of the first water. I do recommend always going in a group as you then have agreater chance of actually getting a mod instead of a single, crap amber ayatan star or a single crap riven sliver. Each of these can easily be obtained by opening chests/lockers and defeating exmius units on regular missions.
On the plus side, the mods have 3 uses before expiring. On the negative side, they have 3 uses before expiring.
I have managed a few lichs now as I have two weapons I have been upgrading by melting similar into one, so I will say this, if you can get the lich beat BEFORE he reaches level 5 then that is the best scenario. Not because the lich is any harder (he is but easily doable) but his penultimate resting place is the Kuva Fortress and those missions (the same missions you farm for requiem mods) are f**king grim!
My advice is to acquire all the mod information (kill thralls for murmers) BEFORE you attempt to figure out the ultimate order. You can do all the Earth missions and can get two known mods before shifting on to Mars, and getting the third mod. This leaves (probably) Mars, Ceres and Sedna to get the correct order. I was lucky enough on one lich to get the correct order the first time I tried...
...and unlucky enough to have to do a bunch more Kuva Fortress missions the last lich I had.
But, after you have done the first one, doing more becomes easier when you start using specific frames for specific missions (if you are doing solo), and you get a routine going.
