warframe.market question
I just got my first Riven mod and unveiled it and it's something I can't currently use, and not for some time I think. It requires MR 11 and I'm currently 8. My question is how does a sale differ from these "contracts" on the site? Is it not the exact same thing? selling an item for Plat. I do see that there is a wide variety of Riven mods but what is different in selling one as a "contract" on the site as opposed to a regular sale? Before someone tells me to search for it, I did do a search here on Steam and found 3 total posts referring to warframe.market and Riven mods, even the site has zero explanation for the difference in their FAQs. Don't be fooled by my play time, I had a former coworker get me into the game 6-7 years ago and back then I was a bit overwhelmed so I stopped playing, also the coworker was kind of annoying and I wanted to sever ties to them. I recently restarted playing on a new account to get the full story and to simply start fresh.

"Contracts" on WM are so called because it is riven sale + kuva lich + sisters of parvos

Yes it is "regular" sales, but there's also an "auction" option, so be cautious when making your sell order to choose the right option

Also, the "contract" are only available for unveiled riven mods, not for the veiled ones wich are sold in the regular market of WM

so basically :

veiled riven mods > regular market on WM
unveiled riven mods > contracts on WM

The purpose of the site is to facilitate the contact between buyers and sellers. It can also be used to get an idea of what's worth what.

warframe.market does not give you any ways to contact buyers outside of warframe ingame chat.
it is only so you dont have to stare at the chat for 3 hours waiting for a buyer.
you go on there, type in the name of the item and find everyone buying it.

it even has a toggle for online people so you can find a buyer right away.

the illegal sale would be posting on facebook: selling mag prime for 20$. paypal me.

you can contact sellers/buyers on warframe market itself. tho most just use ingame.
it also allows reviews to help weed out scammers and the like
