Is there a way to make weapons work normally in Duviri?
Not sure how else to describe this, but it's been extremely frustrating while trying to learn the game mode and get enough resources for the new gear. The issue I'm having is that awful mixed melee/pistol feature they added where it keeps shifting your weapons around. In the normal game you can just quick melee and then continue using your weapon as normal, here using it switches you to that mode where you have your melee out and can quick shoot sometimes (sort of). Except that changes around the control scheme and prevents you from being able to reload/aim properly.

Is there any way to remove this, so that I can just use the sirroco and not be forced into a melee stance if I want to finish off an enemy next to me with two pixels of health left? I looked all over in the settings but couldn't find anything that fit the description.

Any help is appreciated!

Nope, they wanted u to actually block strikes with ur melee, do finishers, different types of attacks, makin it some sort of a souls game. And in the "normal" game u do that by going into melee mode (hold F), so in duviri they just force this mode instead of coding new stuff

The mode was designed to frustrate because most people hate it? and you don't want to get frustrated? somehow that's against the concept.
and who doesn't get frustrated there and maybe even have "fun"? That would have to be some grandpas and grandmas...
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

If you don't activate the "special duviri stance" then you simply use your weapons normally like you do in the rest of the game.

Duviri is effectively a tech demo for Soulframe, and that's a waste.

I mean, it isn't bad gameplay per se, but there really isn't much of a reason to hide how blatantly obvious it is, especially considering just how similar Duviri and Soulframe (at least according to what we've seen) is in terms of gameplay. If anyone is wondering why we aren't an operator with a gun like we were teased back in 2019, its probably because of that. Absolute waste.

Duviri's combat is pretty clearly designed to scaffold players used to slower and less movement-oriented games into Warframe's frantic high mobility gameplay. Hence, you're not expected to handle a warframe. You're expected to handle a Normal Dude with a melee weapon and pistol, and slowly learn the muscle memory needed to flow like fire over the battlefield.
