Kavat/Kubrow/Sentinel survivability on higher lvls
I'm currently farming the whole Kuva Lich stuff, with higher level enemies(80-100 or so). And my cat keeps dying, no matter how much HP/Armor/Shields it has, as well as that stealth ability from time to time. Sentinels are blasted away as well when the enemies shoot me.

So, the question is... Maybe there is some kind of secret that I don't know about how to keep the pet(any kind) alive for longer and not having to revive it every half a minute?

hi,

for your pets : pack leader (prime) lets you heal your pets by hitting enemies with melee

Pack Leader, Medi-Pet Kit for Health Regen, and Link Armour + Link Health if you are using a frame like Nidus/Inaros.

Pack Leader is the key for my companion survivability, with constant melee from time to time to keep it up.

Imo, just don't take sentinel on high level mission like Lich 5 mission. While your frame may survive several hits, stray bullet or AoE damage (explosion from bombard, napalm, bursas) will instantly kill them. Primed regen doesn't help much either, especially if you got downed during the gunfight where the enemy basically shift their focus to your sentinel.

Non-primed version, but It's there, equipped in the build. But I don't always use melee, you see. Hildryn, for example, is fine for Lich farming stuff and I use her exalted pew pew thingy(her 1st) instead of melee. So no heals for the cat.

Medi-pet kit seems soo... Underwhelming?
Link armor/Health works good with Valk, sure. Who is also a melee frame and works well for the pack leader mod too.

But... Again. What if I DON'T use the meta frames and/or melee? There are seriously no other ways other than that?

The other way is to use stealth based frame and keep the invisibility constantly. Without pack leader and melee, there's no mod to keep their health up. Vasca Kavat is the only pet that can keep its survivability but the draining bite mod isn't enough to keep its health up imo.

Well this is just sad...
I'm finding pack leader on a moa (with armor/health linked to a tanky melee frame) provides pretty decent ranged support. He'll happily blast down mooks with his cryotra for me to finish all day. He's also good for inflicting virus status while I'm chopping away with toxic damage. Having him stay back and shoot seems to keep him away from most AoE damage.

Now if I could just get this stupid ambulatory parking meter to hack terminals when I need him to instead of when he feels like it, he'd be perfect.

I've found as inaros that I'd only recently started playing again to ~5k hp with link health giving kat 6-7k+ that pack leader is good too especially with a good melee with life strike. One power attack and you restore both to full hp.

I'm just waiting for Dijinn Prime, so that I can have a sentinel vacuum that can last through a whole mission.

Sentinal: Djinn with the Reawaken mod can be safely taken to any level content without worry. It has been the only sentinal I am willing to use for some time now for just that reason. It can die all it wants to as long as it keeps coming back.

Pets: As has already been said Link Stat mods and Pack Leader. Even on a squish frame any two of the Link Stat mods are alot better than nothing. Healing is also essential and Pack Leader is the main way to accomplish this.

There are several things that I have not seen suggested yet. The Shepherd Aura mod increases the armor and HP of companions. I've started taking my Smeeta into arbitrations with my 300 hp 100 armor Volt Prime without issue because of this mod. The cat ends up with around 1100 hp and 340 armor. (Using link mods as well)

The Winds of Purity augment on the Furis will heal your companion as well if you are going for a shooty playstyle that rarely goes into melee. Properly modded the Furis will do enough damage to be a good healing tool even if it won't kill much past star chart levels.

Gunblades can also activate Pack Leader from a distance. This is also a way to heal yourself with Life Strike.

If you use a dog the Kavasa Prime collar gives some hp and armor buffs.

And if you still can't keep your pet alive I would suggest bleedout mods so that you can afford to revive your pet every full minute instead of every half. :steammocking:
