Why do people dislike Atlas?
I traded a dude for Atlas Prime recently and I've been loving his play style. I can refresh his defense before it wears off unlike Rhino and nullifier bubbles don't take away his armor buff like Grendel.

His 1 let's me build up defense and take out those fire eximus that one-shot me all the time. With Path of Statues I'm able to maintain his buff and watch my own back pretty easily and his 3 is good for gaining rubble and crowd control.

Even his 2 which a bit underwhelming is pretty good for cheesing survival missions by plugging doorways or getting quick cover to use Wellspring.
Combined with his 4 I an get some quick breathing room.

The only real complaint I have about him is that it's really easy to burn through his energy too fast. I tried an Equilibrium and Ore Gaze build but it wasn't as reliable as a Citrine or Nekros Equilibrium build and Rage doesn't generate enough energy (but it's better than nothing).

Tbh, I dislike the Rhino's usual bullet sponging playing style and when levelling it has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me some bad, sticking to one place, not looking for cover habits (i.e., and that already after getting and levelling a few other WF's before it) that I had to lose quickly when trying to play back as Mag, Oberon and even Volt (with his 3rd Shield skill).

I liked playing the regular Atlas, particularly with that Rumbled Augment mod to his 4th skill, that got me a similar effect to those of his Stone Golems to help out getting rid of the foes.
For ex., I still have to level my Atlas Prime simply because that playing style usually doesn't jive that well with my own.
As for the Energy requirements of Atlas, have you also tried the Streamline mod to lower each skill's energy casting and also eventually couple it with a Sahasa Kubrow with their Dig's Precept mod eqquiped. :winter2019happybulb:
As a mere comparison example: That's how I manage to continuously keep my Ivaras invisible upon Prowl mode, their 3rd skill, provided I find a quiet spot for the pet to dig whatever I'm currently needing.

Anyway, thanks for reminding me that I still got that Atlas (Prime) to level up. Oh well... back to the more basic levels for a while it seems. :baa:

Yeah I use Streamline. I think the problem is that I'm relying too heavily on his 1 when I could be using him as either a frame that's less energy reliant and/or I could just be saving his 1 to build his buff back up and kill Exiumus enemies. I'll probably build a second loadout to experiment around and see if I can find something that suites me better.

The more I think about it the more I realize I'm spamming his 1 and 3 even though I have good weapons.
I don't like how the punch isn't a consistent one shot on high tier enemies

I can't meme as that one anime I saw like one episode of

mainly because he looks like a big rock

is the only reason why people dont like him, that and if you shade His body (PINK), it looks like you just jumped off the set of the new barbie movie in 4K ULTRA HD

(EDIT):, worst of all, 4K from a secret santa gift at your local TARGET
He's fun, but he doesn't do that much, and his passive is annoying to keep up. I modded him for steel circus, and there he just barely functions. I also really dislike his reliance on stat sticks.

Dude, c'mon. Spamming his one is THE reason to play Atlas. if you aren't punching the ♥♥♥♥ out of everything in range, what are you even doing on him.

My main loadout for now both my Atlas and his Prime version uses the Growing Power's Aura mod to further increase it's AP given the conditions that his weapon inflicts, obviously got Equilibrium in it and I've also got Hunter Adrenaline in there for energy regen (although Rage can work similar for 2 less points). It also may help you out knowing that I'm also using Arcane Energize and other Arcane that restores slightly restores HP's back when you damage foes. It's not perfect but manages to make enough changes that enable me to play with it somewhat addapted to my usual playing style.
Never heard any dislike of Atlas, what are you talking about ?

I guess it's not so much a dislike as much as it's that he seems to be considered pretty underwhelming compared to the other frames.
He's an ugly low effort frame that doesn't do anything exceptionally well truth be told. I like him but Its a male frame from the early days of warframe so by law he's not exceptional.
Atlas is super good but I dislike spamming his 1 because it needs some aiming and because its AoE is dependent on consecutive hits. IMO it would be a better ability if you could charge it and release 3rd level punch immediately.

BTW I'm also the kind of guy who dislikes fast firing semi-automatic weapons and prefers heavy strike builds on melee. Spamming the same button multiple times per second is just no go for me.

Bro this is warframe everyone dislikes something. People get triggered you play this and not that. You're quickly gonna find out how smooth brain some are in this game.

Literally Atlas is one of those frames just minding his own business and people just look at him and say hey yo gtfo outta here. I just love Atlas Mike Tyson style of gameplay tho. I just wish some of his augments abilities were already built in to him but thats DE for you.
Atlas is the only Oroku Saki looking Frame, he even comes with his own Foot Clan and those Tekko Shredder Blades!

He is also the only Frame with that Mike Tyson Animation Set, which looks really good on Baruuk too. Fashion is still Endgame! (!!!)

He may not have the Damage or the Scaling of a female Frame... or a male Frame with a Hat. But who wears a Hat? Weirdos! (Police Officers, Jamie Hyneman, M. Bison and People with Texas Ranger Hats excluded!)

I haven't unlocked steel path yet because there are mission types I don't find fun and so I just never get around to finishing the nodes. Same reason I haven't done New War yet. I work full time and have college classes so I just want to make the robot ninja run fast and do big funny damage numbers.
