pay 2 win as hell, you either buy the season pass or get rekt in everything pve or pvp
ppl wont invite you because you dont have the season pass's "broken gun" and pvp you just die over and over again
Warframe inexpensive waste of time.
Both love thralls!!
Why not just play both and find out yourself? It's a Chocolate vs Vanilla question you are asking.
Just go have fun!
Instigation.
I D2 just because it's a solid looter shooter, Raids are fun challenges, Crucible can be fun and the lore is good. I'm especially a fan of the lore books you can unlock in game. Making them accessible via companion app is great honestly, somthing I wish warframe would do with its codex / Leverian lore. I like reading that kind of stuff before bed.
However I think a part of me will prefer Warframe. Destiny has found its formula and is probably sticking with it for the long run. Meanwhile Warframe isn't afraid to experiment. They added space combat, mechs, flying horses, a rouge lite mode. A dojo you can make entirely your own. The list goes on.
They add things to Warframe just because it sounds cool and while it dosen't always work, I appreciate that mentality. All for free to, at least when a story sucks in Warframe, I didn't pay $60 for it.
At the end of the day it's up to you, they're both free, although if you play destiny, you will have to shell out a couple hundred dollars eventually to access new content. Play whichever one you like more, stop playing them once you aren't having fun anymore..
Content release intervals.
I expect more content from destiny than Warframe.
I expect destiny to be better simply because of the monetization.
If 2+2 does not equal 4. Then obviously it's bad.
If it's bad and accepted, then it's the community that is bad.
All in all, only you as a person can decide how much abuse you can tolerate
At the time, which was right after New Light was introduced, there were no explanations for anything whatsoever. You had to watch Youtube videos to find out that the story missions that explained what the hell you were doing were some you had to go search for.
I gather even those missions have been removed now, so you're just some person somewhere doing something, for some reason.
I've never encountered a game that was so hostile to new users (and I've played games for over 40 years).
I stopped playing because I'd spent a lot of those 500 hours grinding for good rolls on weapons and then a new season started and all that work was useless.
oh, and if there's a bug (bug #856 with Telesto, for example), they just disable things and then when their one overworked part time dev has had time to fix it, they reenable things, which might be three weeks later.
I'd also spent a ton of money on DLCs, all of which were very expensive and severely underwhelming. And just to make that so much better, if I started playing again, I wouldn't have access to the content I paid for because they removed it. Because ... reasons.
I like the gameplay of D2. Everything else sucks. It's the only game that actively makes me angry (because it could be good, if management wasn't handled by three greedy monkeys on crack).
OTOH, I have over 5000 hours in Warframe.
