Interesting. I guess you must complete the quest then. I don't remember much about the quest but you can explore the map, right? All mini tasks should be there too. Complete those for more decree upgrades until you can continue the main story.
If this wasn't possible then you must work on your strategy. What is causing issues? It took me about 30 minutes to understand how each enemy type behaves. One hour to figure out that can't let them gang up on me or I'm stun locked and killed. I had to charge at one enemy, deal as much damage as possible (Don't get greedy), back away when they are together and find a moment to strike even if I can only land one melee hit.
Remember! You have abilities. Use invisibility! It saved my ass many times and I could reposition myself to better angles. I had to kill Archers first because they always had the worst timing possible when I tried to fight somebody else.
At first I thought Duviri was going to be another frustrating slog, like a certain other Drifter related quest, but the gameplay really changes once you've played a bit, so hang in there.
And remember to spend the intrinsics you earn on some upgrades during the quest; that helps too (and, maybe a personal thing, but you get taught to lock-on to enemies during the fighting tutorial. I find that generally makes the fights harder, or at least more confusing, so maybe try not locking on and see if that feels better).
This was my experience as well. I lost track of the other enemies around me and I wasn't sure if they're about to attack or not. What really broke camel's back was trying to switch target to the one doing a charge attack behind its allies. I thought lock-on was good idea... until I didn't. *DUDUDU DUN*
It works great during the Dax boss fight.
1. use the empowered reload of the sirico (pistol) whish is like perfect reload from gears of war
2. dont use the lock on controls for melee idk why they added it to the game it sucks
3. for decrees the best ones are stasis spread, stasis headshots, the heat swords, first shot shot of magazine does extra damage since all of those are a big boost for the drifters damage when you arent in your warframe
oh also i dont remember if they tell you in DP, but in the open map area (drifter only part) you can unequip and equip your pistol instead by pressing F
Not sure if you can invite people to help you on it but worth a try. Let me know I can help if you cant get anyone or if the game even lets you invite. I think it might be a solo quest.
Like all quests since The Second dream it is Solo quest. Personal experience
