Modern Warframe is Pretentious and Duviri plus the Drifter are examples and culprits.
I've been playing this game for years now and ive gotta say the story lines have just gotten more underwhelming with each update. They bounce wildly back and forth between kindergarten after school special or some of the most hostile pretentious nonsense ive ever seen.
It was bad in the old days but ever since the drifter was introduced its just nosedived. Sure i could just ignore story and enjoy the power fantasy, the main draw for myself and many others i would guess. But the Drifter and interrupted my fun now TWICE! and each interruption, was a surprising long and confusing affair.
I feel like any time the drifter is a focus i just have to steel myself for three plus hours of unfun, annoying, clunky, awful story telling

Drifter can one-shot everything in the paradox.
Which part did you stuck?

Been there since prime Excalibur wasn't a thing , game can burn you out easy with the years , take a break, as for the new quest. Skill Issue

The story makes sense when broken down: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKeT8SoRUB8&t=2424s

It is pretty much the same story as endgame - but that's marvel so everyone enjoys that. But when DE do it, "it's bad story telling" lmao

Sadly i already take lagnthly breaks from Warframe in between updates. because after a week or so of playing it for an hour im burnt out on the sheer mass of repeated missions. Warframe dosnt hold my interest for long and these updates are what bring me back. i just haven't enjoyed any of the recent ones,

As someone with over 500 hours i the game i shouldn't need youtube videos to help explane the story. The new arcs have been purpusly vague and sparse on detail leading me to grow frustrated enough to give up on trying to follow whats happing all together.

they admitted in the dev strem that combat as the driffter is clunky and they will be working on it. Its not a skill issue that i don't enjoy buggy gamepley and amateur storytelling.

I miss the days of violent weirdos we used to fight. Alid V the dude on Neptune, that screechy granear who blew up stations. They were fun characters who's missions has story's attached and changed the setting in little ways each time. The recent stories on the open worlds, and BIG story updates haven't been fun. their all so overly serious.

you mean the old days is story are simple... easy for kids to understand like anime sh!t antoganist, you know this is a badguy just by looking at it... now to the future..writers gives you a more complex Alad V which you can become temporary allies... now kids be wondering why the hell im helping this dude ive killed a long time ago... yeah... i know... its like when you're parent said your adopted as the same time they say they love you... we wish we can just go back to the things where our parents just say we love you... :steamhappy:

Seeing as we just came back from a major story event, that being the New War, of course it's still serious. Especially seeing as the New War was really popular after they fixed a majority of the bugs, they think that seriousness sells. The Story has never been the strong suit for the game (Very basic premises of this is the bad guy, this is what he does, stop him). I can see where you're coming from with wanting a better story, but there's always been bad storytelling. It's only been simple and now it's serious and mysterious.
