Emergency issue

I've been in the cambion drift for four hours, just fishing to relax. Then all of a sudden my WASD stopped working, but I can hit ESC to bring up the menu and can hit CTRL to prepare my fishing spear. I can move my mouse to affect the camera, but I can't click to release the spear.

I do NOT wanna shut the game off or anything drastic. I'm not going to do that, I caught way too many rare fish and don't wanna lose all that gameplay. What can I do?

Same. But it wouldn't get me out of the free roam with my loot.

I have encountered the occasional control lockup while fishing, but I don't think it locked only my movement, so I don't know for sure what solution would work for you. That being said, the things I would try given the information provided:
Attempt other actions. Archwing, Necramech, K-drive, operator, abilities, archgun, other equippables, anything that might change your character's state. If it is possible to die, that often solves such issues.
Change keybinds. Maybe you can force it to recognize your inputs by changing them.
if you aren't in Solo, ask someone else to join your squad and see if they can extract with you. If not, they may be able to use stuff like Loki swap and Nova portal to free you or even just get you to extract.

I am in solo, and I'm a very upgraded Frost with an equally upgraded sentinel. The sentinel isn't attacking things that are attacking me, either, but its Coolant Leak is activating at least. I did try pulling up the gear wheel to try to go archwing or k-drive, but I couldn't pull the wheel up.

WHOO a deimos charger finally killed me. I'm glad the sentinel didn't fight back or regen me like usual! Dying let me move again. Immediately ran for the door :)

wait you guys are inside warframe right now? I can't enter it because update won't launch, I thought it was an issue from server since earlier today warframe worked fine.

That bug is still there? thought it had been fixed, YEARS ago? From memory you have to close the application. You will lose your farmed materials.

this bug HAS been around for years. never went away, just got less frequent. DE is known for taking longer to fix a bug that should be simple to find than it will be for halflife 3 to come out.

best way to fix this is let yourself die... if your not an AOE murder fest while sitting idle even
