Komi AI cheat
Sometimes the AI will take every single one of my pieces in the Komi game, even tho I am the one surrounding it.
Either there's a rule not explained or the AI has a win button when it feels like it can't win anymore.

There's a way to cheat the AI. Check the WF wiki on Duviri and there's an image down the page.

The classic, "the game cheated", clearly not just you being a bit slow or anything...

It's odd, but to keep it simple, they made the walls count, because of that, technically there is always a way to surround, so when there is a hole in the middle of there stuff, you can't surround them until that hole is filled. So you wrap around the outside, then place a piece in the hole, and it's a surround.

So when too many pieces are on the board, it comes down to which side places the last piece.

i dont quite get the rules but apparently if you do a solid block of pieces bordering the edges on 3 sides the AI just needs to have 1 row to "surround" your pieces ......so dont do that as you can lose every piece on the board 28 ish pieces all in 1 go .....ive got 50% of the board covered the full bottom half how did i get surrounded?

i know this is stratigy and tactics but come on my 4-5 rows thick front line was captured by a single row

but makes me wonder is it even possible to play long enough to get a stalemate in this game? as chess ...yes....tick tack toe....yes......checkers.....i beleve so ......komi......???

Because you had no room to expand that massive block or your colour. So it is classed as surrounded by the constraints of the board size. Dont think the space extends past the edge of the board.

There is no stalemate, eventually someone places the last piece which would be a surround, they would have to capture something when they place that piece. It is also extremely hard to not capture stuff after a certain point, the computer moves though not vicious are aggressive enough to force a capture on one side or the other before the board fills.

The trick is to lure the A.I. into surrounding your pieces where 1 sacrifice can reward you more.

As an opening move and using corners you can lure the A.I. to take 1 of your pieces but then you have them surrounded on the angle cutting off the corner for 3. The A.I. is greedy and you use that against them.

The AI is static and will always react the same way, so you can do this to win every time.
