Your frame max lvl is 30, most weapons too with some exceptions.
You can start a lvl40+ mission with a lvl0 frame so i'm not sure what your problem is ?
So I simply just need to get better mods and weapons to deal with 40 and above? I know its not limited, ive completed 80-100's, but to actually be effective in them
yes, you just need good stuff. Honestly brute force works well into the 60s and maybe a little ways into the 70s, where brute force is raw damage via crit chance and damage on a full auto kitgun with a single target backup pistol for the occasional mega tough guy.
an example brute force gun: 1800 damage per shot, 15 shots / sec, 99% crit chance at 5x multiplier, is 135k per sec on paper damage. At those levels the enemy have resists and armor that you need to account for via damage type or frame powers that negate/reduce some of their durability but it will mow down 50s and 60s all day long unless you run into a heavy armor eximus and for that I swap to my pistol with similar ideas but harder hitting.

somewhere between 60 and 100, status builds begin to overcome the brute force approach, but I don't play much at those levels.
