I hate the Wyrm fight and everything it represents.

Honestly I never asked for any of this, why is every step forward a step into the banal world of console games and their stupid mechanics, invulnerability frames, quick time events, shoot the specific tiny box glowing box at the back of something throat for the 3 seconds every hour it opens it mouth... cut scenes, phases. If you go and shoot your boss in the head it takes one bullet... Things just get worse and take longer for no appreciable reason and have some much crap that gets old real fast but they want you to go through it 10 thousand times.

That is unlikely, the game mode was designed for you to be able to kill the wyrm with any of your weapon with "default mods set".
Just pick some weapons with hitscan capability and select "default mod set". It will be powerful enough to clear the mission. You don't even need an archgun.

Unless your luck is pretty bad on rolling the starting weapons (you can also reroll by leaving the session).

You may also join the public runs for lesser workloads.

My weapons where Synoid and Cycron, and where the only choices from primary and Secondary... not sure if it was a range problem or the weapon mechanics but the literally could not hurt the worm, and my arc gun left me almost immediately after get first block to 1/2 health. But its kind of irrelevant because I was bloody annoyed long before that with the pony race shoot glow y balls for speed boost and quick time even to climb worm which felt like it was straight from the PS2. I know all the people with limited reading comprehension think the issue is not winning the fight, I am pretty sure its going to be nothing special if I go in again with better weapons or the arc gun hangs around for more than 2 seconds, but I am still going to have to do all the other crap every single time that is never going to change and its not going to get any faster.

it is possible to kill the final duviri dragon faster,you just need better weapon,its not even steel path so there should be not much issue with player that know how the game works.

go to library and read some encyclopedia maybe it'll help you to defeat the wyrm faster, idk your issue is but the wyrm are melt like butter with default loadout even in steelpath

I reccomend you try again with other people. Considering, you get random choices of weapons everytime you enter.

You can grab control of the wurm instantly by flying towards its head.
It takes literally under 15s to shoot the rings during each phase.
Killing mobs is the most tedious part of the whole fight and that's no different from undercroft.

archgun spawns if you take a bit long to destroy the rings, if it dont spawn just means you dont suck ass and have a brain to pick weapons that actualy reach the rings

On normal it is braindead easy. And you can skip every cutscene as of yesterday's hotfix.

OH yesterday they patched it with a hotfix... to skip the cut scenes, ignoring the fact DR could not figure out skipping them was a good idea in the 3 year delayed production of this expansion I am definitely wrong, because this expansion being based on a paradox gave the patch the ability to fix things back in time thus invalidating the complaint I made two days ago!

I thought the steel path version was pretty fun, but yeah it does get boring after round 5 or so.

Flying towards the head was literally the first thing I did, after a little while it seemed to me it would only let me grab its tail....
