How many founders left?

So as the years tick by I've been wondering how many of us are left that own Excal Prime. Mainly because as the new Duviri update came with incarnon adapters, it allows old weapons to be useful late game. I bring this up because I would like DE to bring out Excal Prime, Skana Prime, and Lato Prime to the masses, rather than collecting dust as locked code. I know some of us wanted to keep him locked because of exclusivity but I would rather see others enjoy him.

I mean, those things are only "cool" because they're so rare. Who gets excited about an Oberon Prime, for example? Excal Prime would be just another warframe, if everyone had it.

The masses got Excal Umbra, which is pretty much exactly as good as the Prime.

There's quite a lot of bought accounts inflating the excal prime appearances nowadays, but I think the set should get an upgrade even when I don't even own them lol

It's funny seeing Excal Primes on small level accounts on content where the frame is inappropriate and some with newly tied accounts that seem to have just started the game with bare minimum cheevos.

I can understand some returning founders during and after title updates, but some content and accounts running the frame are a bit sus for their progression.

Idk, im a silver founder, and i used to know plenty of founders that didnt even get past MR 8, some people just bought the pack and probs never played again too, hell im like MR21, and at this point i barely play, but if they were to release excal p to the public, id just preffer to get a refund at that point lol

I mean, I am a founder, but the way I play, I just do not care about MR. I do what's fun, and a lot of my affinity goes into putting formas on what I like. I tend to play three months a year, and just doing content I feel like doing, not grinding for anything, and that also means I often miss out on the Primes when they're out in the wild. And I'm often in a frame stripped of mods to help my kids.

I'm at MR17.

I also sometimes run Excal just because it's my second-favourite frame, and (IMO) the "real" warframe experience. There's nothing real gimmicky about it and it's just an all-rounder. It's *fun*.

Dunno how representative that is of other founders, but that's why I'd be at low MR doing the wrong mission in an Excal Prime.

I think it would make sense if they were rewards for players who have played for a long time... like 600th login reward or something.

Yeah there is no incentive to level MR. I've read this so much recently and it's kind of discouraging because why does MR even exist then other than to open small doors for random things that really don't even contribute to overall game play experience.

What was it? I think after MR 10 you can pretty much play the game in it's entirety.

Well, there are weapons that are gated by MR, and it does make a few things easier (higher daily caps, and gear is better when freshly obtained or given a forma).

I quite like it - there are incentives if people want to level up, but it's not a huge punishment if you don't. I appreciate that the game tries to give you freedom to do what you want.

Excal Umbra is actually released as Excalibur Umbra Prime for Changyou version of Warframe.

The only thing Global version of Umbra didn't get, is the Prime title, as well as the interaction with void orb. (Which it did have at launch, but later removed)

Umbra is literally a straight upgrade from Excal Prime.
- Anti-Sentient properties
- Sentience while in Drifterator form
- Has more cosmetic feature, and subjectively looks better

The difference compared to Founder / non-founder is literally just 12,000 MR points. Which we have enough items to offset that at any given moment.

PS. To the rest of those who are saying you don't see much founders bla bla, make it available bla bla.

Shut up honestly. When we bring out the founder ♥♥♥♥, y'all are saying how we're rubbing it in your face. And when we're keeping it tucked away, and y'all are pulling ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ out of your ass saying not many founders play anymore.

You have excaliber umbra which makes excal prime into a joke stats wise, as it has polarity for its own umbra mods which it can utilize far more efficiently than any other warframe can currently. There's nothing left over from the founder's era for MOST of the things they received. Let them have this. You genuinely already have the better alternative to it anyways. It even arguable looks better than prime.

Leave it alone.
