Drifter Damage in Duviri
The damage vs lvl40 is kind of low keeping in mind the limited everything the drifter offers...melee soulslike, ranged bad pistolthing very slow movement and more than lacking abilities.
While opponents have overshield, high health pool, all the time available abilities and (like the archer Dax) a possibility to blink away while you try to hit them.
I don't miss the power creep, but to be honest, I dislike the fact, that everything is faster than me...even Kahl is faster (and a lot more powerful)...

I didn't find it too bad. You're expected to use the new mechanics (parries, pistol counters), and once you have a build going with decrees, you just melt stuff.

Also, you know you can shoot while riding Kaithe, right? If you get good with the sirocco and can time the reload damage buff well, it typically either one or two-shots most of the dax.

I know, but to be honest if you fight 4 Dax at the same time (now it was lvl50) or a thrax is in between without you haveing decrees...well
The pistol on top staggers you in melee and animations are not canceled, so timed blocks are kind of problematic in multi enemy fights.
Just my opinion.

Maybe SP is the wrong button to press right now :steamhappy:
Sevagoth, Bo, Seer and Cinta are probably not the right choice for soulslike Warframe anyhow...waiting for the next "day"...or playing not in SP...

It's definitely a lot harder, and way easier to die, but I'm guessing that was intentional, and personally I kinda liked that it was hard enough that there was actually a realistic chance of failing the mission. Especially when you need to bring the Orowyrm down and a single bad fall can kill you. You definitely can't afford to be spending revives poorly. I think you're expected to use your smoke bomb and heal, and even call Kaithe and withdraw if you're in trouble. Definitely not the normal warframe expectation, but I like the change of pace, personally.

I do feel it gets easier the more you do it, though. Once I was familiar with the moves, I could counter most of them pretty reliably, and the dax die pretty fast when you're countering them a lot.

I see what you mean...I collect them since 40min now because I do not find the warframe mission phase 6 and can now one shot Thrax...^^
The default experience is Hades, but you can do as many rooms as you want before facing the boss. It's extremely easy. Pure story is the mode that's an actual challenge, and not much of one.

Free roam...phase 6 says "enter the undercroft"/"betritt die Gruft"...but there is none open ^^

Doing steel path without properly leveling up prior to attempting it is folly. Its kind of ridiculous to complain about it being difficult when you're not prepared.
The regular mode isn't that hard. Grind there to build up intrinsics so you can properly prepare for steel path. Also prepare for duviri content by making sure all your weapon/frame loadouts are effective as well.

I was lucky enough to have the game load up weapons I haven't used in a long time so all my loadouts were out of date. Once I fixed the loadouts for the available weapons it made a world of difference.

Honestly, duviri's randomness puts it at the far endgame insofar as low to mid level players (people who do not have loads of frames+weapons) are going to have a heck of a time with the crappy default loadouts on offer.

I sold 90% of the weapons/warframes i don't want. I'll just buy the new stuff from the market and forget this update ^^.

On the contrary, I think Sevagoth is a pretty damn fine warframe for steelpath eldenframe, assuming you have a decent build on his shadow (Which isn't as unlikely as having a decent build for X weapon you don't even own), considering his shadow does amazing damage and his passive giving him free revives.

But can't you still get frames and weapons you don't own? Not saying that you can't go ahead and do what you please but I'm just thinking that may be a little wasteful, esp if some of those you sold already had focus lens and/or potatoes installed into them
