Sleds of Sunshine Achievement Seems Impossible

Has anyone gotten this achievement in the last month? If so, how did you get it? I've spent hours at a time over the course of multiple days. I've tried the archwing method, as well as having a friend force extract while I was sliding, mods that help with friction, using teleporters, looking up videos of the best routes, and aim gliding. I'm about ready to strangle the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ devs at this point. So please, for the love of all that is good and holy, can somebody who didn't get this by some fluke tell me how they got it?

Was attempting this the last couple of days as well, and can confirm that the Nova-Portals method does not seem to work either. Additionally, I tried tapping the "ctrl" key while holding it (so you don't stand, but seemingly get the start of slide boost), and nada there either. The worst part is it's not like we can even see how close we get or anything during each attempt, so even if I found a path that seemed close, it may not be. And it is in-fact a distance thing, as I got lodged in a boulder while still sliding in place, and even after a minute still didn't get it.

Closest I probably got was the top of the mountain/hills on the right, and there is a walking path you can ride from close to the top down towards the main lake area; problem being that there are so many random small paths that either level out or a rock stops you. If I figure it out I will let you know.

Exactly! It almost feels like the devs don't want people getting the achievement anymore. The farthest I've been able to get so far is just over 300 meter, directly to the north of the map and along the border. Thanks for the feedback though. I'll be sure to let you know if I manage to figure out how to get it as well.

Guide that worked for me had a player fly out to the far corner of the map, glitch above the flight ceiling, keep ascending until the map is outside of render distance, then build up momentum and exit archwing and slide through the air, aim gliding every couple of seconds to slow your descent.

I just did it like a minute ago. I used a volt with 300% strength to boost myself then went to archwing and flew up at an angle so it shoots me into the distance once i get off and then just slide in the air and got it.

This is what i did, this is ridiculous but it's possible.
There is a long "slope" in the plain of eidolon, long enough to get the achivement.
I forgot the exact location but it should be the middle area where hills connected to the plain, you will have to fly around to see it.
Use speed frame such as Volt or Nezha, mod for less friction and more sliding, such as Maglev.
Go to the highest starting point.Dash, Start sliding, done.

I'm not sure if the slope still exists after The New War, hopefully, you will have to fly around and find the right path of the slope.

"I went through this recently myself. As you said none of the easy tricks worked, so I tried a bunch of different things on a bunch of different hills. if I remember correctly, what eventually worked was start in archwing, fly fast but low to the ground at the top of the hill to the east to give yourself tons of momentum before attacking out of it and sliding down the south side. Took a few tries, but I got it eventually."

Another cheesy method.
1. Make a squad with 1 other person and go to the plains (invite only so no one else joins).
2. Have your friend wait near the entrance to the plains
3. Fly to the Grineer base on the back edge of the plains and wait on the roof
4. Your friend starts the "end mission timer"
5. When there's a few seconds left on the timer, jump off the roof and start sliding down the large hill right there
6. As long as you are sliding when the game teleports you to the entrance when the timer ends, you'll count as sliding that WHOLE DISTANCE
7. Now restart the mission and help your friend get the achievement too

While I recall the Plains of Eidolon touch up update (introduced the stompers) and a few other updates might have modified the terrain. Originally there was one mountain side where you could slide the whole distance. Should be north east of Cetus around the bottom peak I think. In fact, I think one of the commenters might have mentioned that due to some of the additional rocks, its not possible to do it without tricks. Still, I think there are some vids of the original method.
