now its important to state, my pc is low end, at best, obviously, its a potato, and it ran warframe decently for about 2 years, then this update comes and now the games a problem.
if your ping is ok, i advise you to open up your pc and clean the fans well, and change the thermal paste of cpu if you can.
If you were using the classic renderer for performance, you'll need to change it back to that if you have done not yet.
Happened to me too, ram useage went through the roof and pc began to use pagefile, so I went looking and found that setting had been disrespected.
MINIMUM:
OS:Windows 7 64-Bit (32-bit not supported)
Processor:Intel Core i7 860, Intel Core i5 750, or AMD FX-4100 (SSE 4.2 support required)
Video:DirectX 11+ capable Graphics Card
Memory:4 GB RAM
Storage:50 GB available HD space
Internet:Broadband Internet Connection Required
Also, take note, that after Duviri the Enhance Graphics Engine was made the Default engine. Chances are, you are running Enhance Graphics and that's what's causing your issues.
DE is phasing out the Classic Engine. You can read more about it on the official forums -> PC Announcement -> PSA: (Coming with Duviri) New Default on PC: Enhanced Graphics Engine
Thought it was just me.
I am sorry to say but you are expecting an old low power GPU to remain viable forever, that is not a viable position. You are also probably bottlenecked by your RAM. Warframe is an evolving game, over time they improve it to make use of what would be considered average commodity gaming hardware and you are falling behind.
Even if the current system isn't rocking the game well enough; it might still work for a life as a media center or NAS config; so while annoying it might still be useful down the road.
