Stuck on final boss fight of new war [ballas]
So im literally stuck on the final boss fight of the new war. my mote amp isnt doing enough damage to ballas before hes able to kill the lotus. i can MAYBE SOMETIMES get his health down to his 3rd block but thats it. lotus simply doesnt have enough health left for me to finish off ballas therefore i have to keep redoing the fight and failing. can anyone help? can anyone maybe get this to DE so they can maybe make a small patch that increases the health and shields for lotus so people like me that dont have a powerful amp are able to progress? cause if not then ill have to start a brand new account and i really dont want to do that since ive put in so many hours and alot of money into this game on my current profile.

Might wanna put a spoiler tag and remove ballas from title, idk for ppl who care for lore I guess (even tho DE gave up on lore some years ago with bulls*** like revenant prime).

Anyway, back on topic.
New war is supposed to be a loadout test for you. It clearly stated you need to prepare good gear to do this quest. They warned you and you proceeded. You need a better AMP than the one u get from quests. Not sure what you can do now, dunno if u can even abandon the quest and get ur loadout ready properly and then restart. I really dont know if that is possible, but that could be one option.

Next time dont ignore what the game is telling you (im referring to the warning you received before starting new war quest).

Have you tried playing for time between attacks so that she has time to fully recharge her shield? Also, prefire before he become vulnerable so that you start damaging him as soon as possible.

I did that quest with an Amp that got from the Quills' Onko at their cave inside Cetus. And I'm still using one of those 3 up to this day apart when feel the need to use the Sirocco Amp gun that you receive from that quest.

Since I loathed that last boss fight i haven't bothered redoing it all as an Operator, except for the last fight in which I already used it (prefer the sliding dash move over rolling over one).

Just to clear somethings out, have you already dealt with both 1st stages of Ballas last fight in which he puppetteers Natah (i.e., Lotus in Sentient form) and you have to use her blast to reflect upon you to destroy the 5 Narmer orange Lenses hanging in there?
And in the 2nd fight you need to avoid Ballas' blasts so that they hit the Narmer Lenses in that location?
Tbh, I don't remember much after getting both of those previously done (because done it switftly after dealing with the 2 previous Narmer Lenses stages, but probably used my Void Sling through Ballas to disrupt him enough so that I can land more hits upon him. :baa:

Okay, one thing I hate about DE's story content is that it so frequently has nothing to do with the core mechanics of Warframe, and a lot of if it very situational.

Now, in my case I will say that when I did this a long while ago (though I am multiple expansions behind) I do remember it being a bit frustrating, but really it's a matter of pattern recognition and pretty much playing a badly designed slot machine until it eventually let's you win. Gear really isn't going to matter, and I remember having the opposite problem as I have a custom amp I put together from The Quills and leveled all the way to 30 and I rarely get to use the bloody thing. It's not the best possible or anything, I just kind of felt like this was the sort of fight where that work should have amounted to something and it really doesn't mean jack.

In the fight your in the big thing is you need to dodge, run the lasers into the orbs, and then be fast enough to blast Ballas with whatever your amp is while he's vulnerable before he can finish The Lotus, and it really doesn't seem to matter each time because it amounts to letting you shave off a portion of his health bar, meaning you need to get this to work properly multiple times before your done, and that's the real challenge as to me it seemed as glitchy as all heck and oftentimes even doing it right, fast enough, I was still failing because the game just pretty much said "nope, not happening".

Seems like you might be having the same problem to me, and the best advice I can give you is that it really isn't a skill issue, or a gear issue, if your doing the pattern right it's mostly getting the game to accept that you did. Like many DE story bits I felt less satisfied with having beaten an epic enemy than "oh thank god that horrible mess is over and I saw the story and can play Warframe again".

That said this is not the worst bit in the game. For me that was probably Nihil, also known as The Glassmaker. To be fair you get a really cool sword and a cool shoulder thing for him, and he is optional, but really I've felt this was a perfect example of why DE really needs quality control in the people they have doing content.

I won't even go into the absolute headache this fight (well it's more of a slot machine combined with a really bad jumping puzzle) other than to say that even if you know the order of evidence and all of that stuff, it's as much luck as anything no matter what strategy you want to use, I know people who got it instantly, while some people had to do it even more than I did. It's one of those things where you can say be doing the evidence stuff, trigger it, and then have it say refuse to register while Nihil does his thing because the game doesn't seem to recognize half the time whether your hitting the right trigger or not, and it's the same for each character every time (or is supposed to be).

So really if you finish this story bit and decide "I need more high octane masochism in my life" I really recommend investing 120 Nightwave cred in an Oubliette and Key and saving yourself the trouble of hunting down the Lament Configuration. I mean seriously the devil might as well just replace the Cenobites with DE special encounter designers, oh sure I'm positive they don't do it intentionally, but let's say the suffering is far superior to simply ripping someone apart with razor sharp hooks in their most sensitive bits. :)

Nihil is a really relaxing fight, Thorley. If you know exactly how to read the spawn and despawn of these tiles you are moving on. Of course, if you lose control and dont know where to move next, then it is the Cenobites you mentioned.

Movement and understanding mechanics will also solve the Ballas Fight for OP with ease. Any Gear and any Amp can do that. Shooting Orbs, redirecting Beams, etc. OP surely already finished it.

i recommend sparring with conclave players. you will see that they move differently than the usual Slide-Projectile-Jump Combination. The Things you learn there will keep all Bossfights interesting and you can sell your Adaptation and Rolling Guard afterwards. You wont need them anymore, ever.

New war is further down the story from when you are first introduced to amps. Maybe invest some time in crafting a stronger one to make the figh easy.

Lotus doesnt need more stats. You just need to use end game gear in an end game mission
