how do i get more energy in warframe?
so ive progressed quite a lot and have gotten & upgraded a lot of good mods but i keep running into the same problem during missions: i keep running out of energy and not being able to get it back to use my abilities more often. so, what are ways to get more energy in warframe during missions?

Flow/Primed Flow/Archon Flow - for bigger energy pool
Arcane Energize and Zenurik school - for energy "regeneration"

Also Streamline and other mods for ability efficiency that reduce ability cost.

edit
and you can also use squad energy restore aka pizzas. you can get BPs for those in dojo

Continue the main story quests. They are unlocks later.
You can also build a Zaw in Cetus on Earth and buy the "Exodia Brave" arcane. Ten copies will upgrade it to rank 3 and it gives 5 energy per second after a heavy attack kill and stacks a bit (3 times?). I suggest you build the Sepfahn nikana zaw (Sepfahn blade, any one hand handle, and the Vargeet II Ruhang are the parts you would use). The nikana melee type forces slash/bleed status on every heavy attack hit and makes getting the kills for Exodia Brave very easy.

Edit for another few options:
- Go to a dojo and buy the blueprints to craft energy pads and put those on your gear wheel. If you're new this can be a bit too expensive on the resources, but it is an option.
- Once you have unlocked the Open world on Deimos and farm up enough reputation to get the faction to rank 3, you can buy the "Helminth" Module from Son. This will let you spend a chunk of resources to "consume" your old regular (non-prime) warframes and add one of their pre-selected skills to the Helminth system forever. You can then spend some more resources to add THOSE abilities to ANY OTHER WARFRAME. There are a few that will help with energy economy and restoration. Grendel's Nourish and Protea's Dispensary are the main two that I can remember off the top of my head.

All these suggestions and not one of them is energy siphon. Yes it's crap but the OP will have a much easier time getting it than every other suggestion here.

Arcane Energize is a rare drop from the Eidolon Hydrolyst, which considering you are new is not an option.
Zenurik is one of Five Focus Schools you can unlock later as you do the main story.
Energy Siphon and Flow are mods that give you passive energy regen and larger energy capacity respectfully, as a new player these are much easier to obtain.
Energy Siphon can be obtained from the Nightwave. Check back every week until it spawns in the shop for 20 Nightwave Creds
Flow can be obtained from Excavation and Survival missions starting from Europa, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Eris, and Sedna. It can also be rarely dropped by fairly common enemies if you are lucky.
Streamline is another useful mod that will make your abilities cost less energy. It can be acquired through various Defense and Spy Mission but the best chances are doing Cetus Bounties on Earth. The Level 5-15 Bounty will usually offer it as a reward

mrunuick is a fake news, nothing beats free energy regeneration that Zenurik offers.

as a new player there are a series of things you can do but the most important thing to do is learn that the mods Vitality, Steel Fiber, Rage, and Quick Thinking are and will be your very best friends if you let them do what they're supposed to do. Because focusing on weapons is arguably more important in the early and mid game than just your frame despite the convenience of just googling a low investment build and wiping everything. that'll get you there but when you get there you'll realize you know nothing about what you're doing. my advice to you is to either go into trade chat, request those mods. someone would give them to you. I would. or slowly unlock deimos, as you'll have a pet by then, and farm equilibrium from the boss lephantis. Do it on publics so you have an easy time which will also net you nekros parts, then go to fortuna and farm the synth stuff for your preferred pet that allows you to pick up health orbs and there you go you've farmed the lowest effort energy set ups in the games. No need for energize or zenurik because the former cost upwards to 70 dollars or an estimated 483 boss captures that you're not anywhere near, and the later requires a time investment and general knowledge of how to actually farm it and I doubt anyones going to carry you through SP circuit to farm it quickly and use it in your life time. Another option as mentioned above is Energy Siphon which if you are new and have nightwave creds you could get if its on rotation for I believe 20 of the credits. It actually functions fine and is best in slot in several situations and you almost always will see it paired with zenurik. This isn't a definitive guide but this is as low effort and beginner accessible as you're ever going to get asking on this forum or really any warframe forum

Getting focus points for Zenurik is extremely difficult for new players, not to mention they haven't unlocked focus schools yet, so they don't even know what a Focus School is. It's best to just point them in the direction of mods like Energy Siphon, Flow, and Streamline.

enery siphon aura mod from Nightwave shop for 20 credits.

zenurik focus school you unlock after completing the second dream quest.

energy pads you get from either syndicate or tenno lab. Theres a small that gives 25 a medium that gives 50 and large 100. each gives 4 pulses of energy every 8 seconds.

rage and hunter adrenaline mod, gives you energy based on how much damage you take. Rage drops from Napalm enemies and sometimes from your circuit reward pool. Hunter adrenaline is an a monthly event mod.

emergence dissipate an operator arcane you get from zariman. Spawns 12 energy per enemy affect by void sling cancel.

my all time underrated favorite Zaws. Create a hammer or machete zaw and get the zaw arcane exodia brave. You get 15 energy for 4 seconds just killing enemies with a heavy attack. 60 energy in 4 seconds just by doing what you're already doing and zaws are incredibly strong.

Theres honestly too many ways too get energy in the game if I listed them all I'm sure it would be overwhelming to read all them. I'd say stick with zenurik and energy siphon soon as you can get them. But if you wanna know more keep reading ahead otherwise stop at this point.

Theres tech combos like using the mod equilibrium and trinity's helminth ability Well spring to basically get an infinite amount of energy if you have enough energy to cast well spring first.
Then theres using equilibrium again with the panzer vulpaphyla and equipping synth deconstruct and synth fiber to turn those health orbs into energy orbs.

Titania's helminth ability and her augment mod. 50 energy per 4 enemies hit thats easy to achieve and it scales with power strength but getting titania for her ability can be lengthy and annoying.

Sharpshooter a sniper mod that gives 15 energy on headshot kill. You cant get this mod till you basically finish the game so to speak. You have to have completed the whole star chart to access arbitration and their shop.

I'm sure theres more ways but for now those are all the ones I can think of.

I think that apart most of those already covered above, one of the easiest ways to get some extra energy regen is from your pet companion.
For instance, even if I ran an Ivara constant stealth with her 3rd skill, Prowl, also having a Sahasa Kubrow with the Dig, Precept mod will help you a lot if you manage to find a somewhat quiet spot in the map for him to dig whatever you're needing (either it being Energy Orbs, Ammo', HP's Orbs, etc. etc.). And also having the Synth Fiber in that pet will help as others have stated if coupled with Equilibrium and Rage/Hunter's Adrenaline on a few of your more energy demanding WarFrames (WF) (and also Streamline to further decrease every skill's energy casting requirements).

AH YES Sahasa kubrow. Very underrated as well. May not give you a lot of energy but 75 or so at the start is pretty good and every now and then. Another I remembered were syndicate guns and weapon augements from cephalon suda. The radial proc gives you 25% of your warframes energy pool and it stacks with all weapons if you use all 3 to 75% refilled.
