Unlike the Warframes they venerate, these items won't remain for long, so move quickly Tenno! Each Heirloom Collection is only available until December 31, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
my bad then it didnt say anything on the steam post, or i am blind thanks for that though :)
DE has done this before, but the pricing was lower and was discounted near the end, which is something DE hasn't said anything yet, so the bundle can indeed receive a price cut just like the previous ones.
However, this bundle has more than just cosmetics, so it's uncertain really.
My opinion exactly, atm. It's simply Digital Extremes' (DE') overpricing attempt to try and set the new standard way up there in the clouds to see who takes the bait and if the community doesn't start showing their real, united displeasure towards such sort of practices then soon it'll only be much worse.
(I.e.: atm, it consists of 2 bundled skins that apparantly can't be sold apart, bloated the price with Regal Aya and with a shortly after out of touch attempt to make ammends by raising the Platinum inside the 'so called' "Heirlooms 10 year celebration bundle for a limited time offer[forums.warframe.com].)
For all I care, atm, they can pretty much choke on those 'splendidly' priced "Heirloom bundles".
Since apparently it's too difficult for DE to make U-turns and work around the cheapest 63€ pack to make it more enticing for the community to acquire it, like for instance a skins splitted pack and even if it brings some Plat' inside to slightly raise the price value, then I'm sure as hellbent in not acquiring any of those, being it the 63€ 'cheaper' one or the 81€ higher cost one[www.warframe.com].
Therefore, by those practices alone DE is pretty much telling me to stop supporting WarFrame's (WF's) development and stop being a customer apart already being a player. If they can't stick to the former somewhat sustained development model, then I'll have to react accordingly. Ergo, it's basically the 2nd law of Physics: "The Action-Reaction pair", in which for those actions there will have to exist correspondent measure reaction(s).
Do not buy this pack. It will only encourage Digital Extremes to make future Deluxe Skins limited time only and they will be 90 dollars each time without the option to buy one of the skins instead of both.
Limited-time cosmetics like the Deimos Swarm Supporter Pack are also old tactics. I'd have liked to get those Zobov and Capstan skins, but they're gone forever.
What people don't get is that the Heriloom skins aren't Deluxe skins.
Deluxe skins are made by DE. The Heirlooms are a set made by a contracted guest designer, which is something they've never done before. The closest I can think of is Liger Inazuka, but I think some of his things were done after being hired by DE.
But it's kinda weird how people only started saying "FOMO" like it's some recently learned buzzwords, when DE has been releasing "FOMO" packs for years now. Tennocon package anyone...? Or does FOMO only matters, or mean something when it's a bit more than what you're comfortable to pay?
Also. It's really weird how some people are so focused on saying it's "$100 for 2 skins only". It's not, that's why it's so expensive, because DE padded the bundle with premium currencies, which honestly sucks big time for those who doesn't need it. But it definitely is nowhere near "$100 for 2 skins only" outrage.
FOMO has been catching drift because of several other gaming companies doing it. Blizzard, EA, Riot, you name it. Many gamers do not like this business practice becoming a trend, but there is spending because there are "whales" that will buy these products even if they cost $1,000 dollars. It creates a new market and ultimately will replace deluxe skins with being a real money-only limited time item. They can even pull the currently available deluxe skins that are obtainable through platinum and make them become a limited time, inflated product as well.
