But it's also free and those things are pretty directly correlated to a money maker so.
pray to rng that you got what you want, or cry your way back to the orbiter.
while this system is not perfect its way better than what it used to be, this is a game about loot after all, its about grinding the heck out of it, if you don't like it, just buy platinum or wait for a platinum discount -75% off, and buy it directly from the market.
you either pay up with your money, or with your time, thats the biggest motto of this game.
Warframe would probably be my favourite game ever if it was a pay once singleplayer game. lol
This could be solved having the ability to specify conditions for creating and auto joining a squad but yeah... don't see that happening at this point.
It's only gonna get worse as time goes on and player base is reduced.
Still, it only took me like, 6 hours of gameplay to get everything for free, so the RNG isn't even nearly that annoying.
I agree; that would be reasonable but I think folk brought it up years ago during a devstream; and at least at the time, the response was that it would make it so most missions were not played again for the majority of relic openings. They wanted most players to do public to get folk with their own relics thus spending more resources and you just don't get that prioritizing player choice and interaction. That feeling could have changed since; but who can say without those questions being bounced against another devstream or two?
And they were locked per specific mission type. So if you wanted a particular prime part, it was ALWAYS locked behind the same Void mission in the same rotation. My bane was Loki Prime System. that one dropped from a Void Survival C run. Imagine every day waiting wasting 20 minutes of your time to see if you'll get it or not. Loki Prime Access came and went and Ash Prime was released and I WAS STILL FARMING THAT PART 4 months later!
To this day I still see people hating farming regular Nidus/Harrow because their drops are behind Rotation C missions (Salvage & Defection). Now imagine doing that to craft ALL Prime stuff because they each usually had one part hidden behind a 20min similar wait wall. With Void fissures we can now try our luck in 5 minutes or less per run because we can now be selective in which mission type was can do them in.
Those who look back with rose-tinted glasses bring up getting the multiple rewards using only one Void key. Getting the keys wasn't a problem, I had hundreds of them (not exaggerating), it's the waiting for Rot B and C rewards in Void Void Void Void Void every day that made it all unbearable. "Void Fatigue" was a phrase mentioned by many.
That tile set ended up looking disgusting for me being exposed to it for so long all the time.
Going for multi-hour marathons isn't everybody's cup of tea . That was B-O-R-I-N-G.
And of course most people literally don't have that much free time.
Wisp Prime Access dropped on 27th and by the 29th I had all parts.
And no, I wasn't lucky getting everything on my first try. I just did a lot of fast relic share runs. Sure beats waiting 20min per run like in the past.
Getting the part you want after 10 radshares honestly doesn't come close to the frustration of Void Keys. You can have the worst luck opening relics, but you will burn through relics a lot faster at least and all you really need is a fellow player in your team with good luck :)
Remember that you can get relics not just by farming them in missions but also by buying relic packs from your Allied syndicates and from Teshin in relay (25max per week) and from a vendor in each of the 3 open world hubs (Suumbaat, Smokefinger and Otak respectively). All this together instantly gave me the majority of needed relics on day 1.
Resource Booster affects Void Traces gain so I hope y'all bought it from Baro when he was here this weekend.
The current system is LIGHTYEARS better than the old void keys... I dont miss the old at all.
Everyone goes in with the right relic and refinement... 5-10 minutes latter, your out with an item, with a good chance its what you where wanting or at least something else even if just for ducats... and if the teams decent and people want to continue to open more, you can, no sweat.
