Ok, so. It's basically an alternate start to the game if you so choose.
Besides that it is accessable via the star chart at a later time.
While gameplay there is mostly centered around your drifter character, there are Warframes and weapons from the rest of the game in the undercroft.
You can earn rewards in duviri that transfer to the rest of the game. Or you can use it as a place to test out weapons and frames you don't already have.
I'll just say "screw that for a game of soldiers."
I just tried it and you're right. It's bad. Really bad. It's like they wanted to make a challenge so they changed all the keybindings.
I thought it was pretty good. Reminds me of the Witcher 3.
Everyone thinks having to learn new controls is the same as the controls being bad, and that is simply not true.
Duviri may be acceptible as separated game, but it so out of pace in WF, like you really want to trade rapid action with normal guns and skills to slow souls-wannabe?
Yes, because it means they are trying new things. If they played it 'safe' every update, the only people who would stick around for this game are the big loyalist. The rest of us would find other games.
Duviri isnt Warframe. Every things before - operator, archwing, railjack, necramech - was debatable but links together at the end. Duviri is ♥♥♥♥ because it ignores already established "operator" mechanic and replace it with completly with totally detached everything (combat and control first).
And all that while trying to play this fevered dream fueled by Void energies (aka making us being the unpaid beta testers for SoulFrame) kind of takes the cake of Digital Extremes' (DE's) stupid ideas because now I've got to grind new items from the dream realm in order to make weapons to use upon the WarFrame's (WF's) unitverse?!? Hello, thy logic art thou gone?
The main farm for the regular game is in Circuit. As a new player, you'll find warframe sets and augments there. For vets there are incarnons in hard mode, which are a lot of fun, but require a lot of arsenal preparation to be farmed without pain.
