tf is the deal with Melica?

I spent over an hour in a bounty looking for the thing to bring to Melica, eventually I got fed up and looked it up and apparently, they don't spawn until you meet her, but people in-game say you need to find the thing first before you meet her. So which is it? Did I just get lucky with the bugs so they didn't spawn?

The Accolades spawn near her terminal at set locations.

Once you memorize these locations, it because near ESP levels finding accolades.

They mean the thingy won't spawn unless her terminal was also spawned, so it's pointless to go looking for it until you spot her terminal on the map.

If you spend more than 5 minutes to look for one Accolade, consider aborting the mission.
The Accolades almost always spawn in an area near Melica's terminal, never been further than 1-2 rooms from the terminal.
Try listening to the annoying humming noise it makes. Also it appears as "loot" in your minimap (if you equipped +loot radar mods).
Very hard to miss.

If you picked up the bounty then went straight into it, it's typically bugged and you won't be able to find one. Just stick to the exterminate bounty and you'll be better off.

You can find the keys before finding Melica. However, she's not in every mission.

There is a small chance that they might bug out and not spawn. I have had this happen once back at release, which confused everyone in squad aswell.

You getting this 3 in a row sounds like you simply missed them, pls double check
