How long to farm rep
Hey all, just getting back into the game, only have 100ish hours, and want to max my PoE, Orb Vallis, Deimos and eventually Duviri stuff, not to mention other syndicates. How long, realistically would this all take? I just feel so behind, I know I probably shouldn't, i'm still technically newer to the game, but yeah. Any tips would be appreciated too

240,000/X = days required

X = your daily cap

You can, realistically, go from Rank 0 to 5 in about 2 weeks. Should you? No, you'll burn out at that pace.

If you are high enough mastery its not too bad; as you will get a better cap per day; focus on collecting rep trade-in token items which differ on the area as well for days when you might not be able to run bounties that day. Generally, you will get most you need from the higher rank bounties but having extra of the turn-ins help especially when you need them to rank up! In Fortuna; keep an eye on Ticker's debt forgiveness for specific Bonds to maintain sanity and Eidolons in the Plains will go smooth if you have a few nights to spend farming with a Radiation sniper and your favorite warframe or whatever high endurance gear. Deimos might take a bit of hunting for specific Son requests but it will go smoothly once you get the hang of it. I do recommend getting help for the Necramech part hunts though, as that can be quite annoying even for many previous veterans. Otherwise; just stay calm and do your best, and the rank ups will come as you can.

syndicates give you credit just for playing, let those come along naturally for now.
poe bounties give some nice mods and a couple decent weapons so play those now and again. Mix it up, do a bit on poe, a bit on deimos, etc. Venus is a bit tougher than the others to me, dunno if its my dislike of corpus generally or the awful map or if it actually is harder or all 3 :) Might be more careful there, though. The other 2 are mostly weak content that you can cruise through at low-mid levels.

The best thing you can do in warframe in general is to double or triple down. If nightwave wants you to do deimos stuff this week, then do some bounties while getting your 100 kills while getting 20 animal tags or rare fish or whatever foolishness of the week.

There is a method where you go with a veteran player who can lure out rare animals (such as Kubrodon) and do the perfect capture to get about 8000 standings per one capture.
it probably better if you take your time framing rep tbh you will burn yourself out if you doing too much rep farming
if I say for fortuna and poe is to capture animals
and bounties for deimos

♫ That's the price you pay
Leave behind the fun and cast away
Just another product of today
You'd rather have it now and burn away ♫

Take your time and enjoy the journey or you'll surely burn out in no time. You'll get there when you get there. ;)

Do you really want to "catch up"?

I'll probably quit if I ever get to the end game. It's about the journey.

Okay thanks for all the replies guys. Maybe I shouldn't rush. I just feel behind, WoW has done that to me

really as fast or as slow as you want. I can't be bothered to max out little duck because I can't stand doing prophet taker. Its a boring dps check, and farming toroids is the most mind numbing thing on the planet so I just do narmer bounties when I'm inclinded to do so and trade isoplats, which also isn't fun or engaging but at least that sometimes provides Aya which is directly measurable plat =/= progress

Question is what exactly do you need to "catch up" on, vs. everything else you can potentially work on, but isn't necessary to the core progression of the game

Like with the Quills, you may only need to farm enough standing to be able to buy potential amp parts. If you want the Fortuna amp parts, you could probably skip Quills altogether.

yeah, I think it's just a matter of me playing WoW for 13 years and thinking I need to be at endgame with the best gear, max reps, etc

Yes! I used to do that with folk, that and using my bait and lures for fish. Really helped out friends listers and clanmates who hadn't grinded out all those grinds to be allowed to properly grind the rest.

WoW is a bad example of the idea of being behind. This game doesn't punish you for being behind, and that's a good thing. Take your time, enjoy the game, and don't worry about literally anything until you try and push the star chart. If you hit a wall, then maybe farm a little bit. This game is forgiving for newer players, regardless of how people talk about it. A lot of the mechanics of this game are based around time and knowledge.

ask yourself why do you want to max each standing out for. Then rethink your life and just do them one at a time.
