Hmm... The notice time is a bit too short... Maybe at Friday if they do? Not sure, all we can do is pretty much guess. Just like Aerond said, it seems they forgot nightwave being a thing. Which is a slight shame considering the first few stories were pretty good.
"Each season has varying lengths that can last up to several months. A countdown timer will appear when the current season has 2 weeks remaining." https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Nightwave
I do hope they go back to story based nightwave though, but I also hope they recycle the old ones because a lot of people missed out. I'm hoping they can get into a cycle of 1 new story based nightwave, 1 or 2 intermissions and 1 old story based nightwave and continuously rotate that way.
Pandemic sure had impact for two years but I noticed very dramatic drop in efficiency when it came to release new content since 2017 after Plains Of Eidolon. They concentrated more on open worlds and a lot less on frequent smaller events. At first I didn't mind but when they announced third open world (Deimos) I was burned out. Token system didn't make grinding any more fun and my progress in Deimos is propably at 70% which is the minimum requirement to unlock next content island.
I might have become entitled when it comes to frequent updates when I think about. The game has been so entertaining since 2013/ 2014 but nowadays I play other games because there are barely events happening in Warframe.
I personally enjoyed Deimos, a lot more than the previous 2 open worlds, and even then I was a bit burnt out with Deimos, even though there's a lot about it that I enjoy. So I can definitely understand that. And with them being considerably different from the core warframe experience most are used to, it can be a bit jarring having more concentration on that. But, in saying that, I think they've done pretty well since the pandemic in giving us more core warframe content. I'm hopeful that after duviri things will start getting even better with that.
