Tombfinger VS Catchmoon
What are the pros and cons of both of these kitguns?

Tombfinger had huge range and a single bullet. Hits like a Mac truck.

Catchmoon had some damage falloff and a wider bullet. Its biggest draw is that the wide bullet has infinit enemy punch through. So fire it down a corridor and watch them all die.

Thendown side is that if the bullet clips terrain the whole thing stops.

------

I use both and honestly they are both stupendously good.

Catchmoon is far more forgiving because of the punch through and bug bullet.

Tombfinger needs a little more careful aiming but will more easily kill the armored target.

The only place you will even notice this is on heavily armored targets at level 100+.

On fodder enemies and below that level Catchmoon outperforms due to both just oneshotting everything.

------

If you add Pax seeker the difference is even bigher because the bigher bullet makes headshots far easier especially combined with punch through.

Its a better Arca Plasmor in every way.

-----
Edit. Neither is good for dealing with Nullifier bubbles.

Catchmoon is a pocket Arca Plasmor. Tombfinger is a pocket Lanka. Use whichever one will complement your primary weapon better.

I can't actually think of anything comparable to the Tombfinger. It's almost like a mini rocket-launcher, the projectiles have a travel time and there is an AoE, but the explosions are very small. But it also has a lot of traits that you expect out of any other regular pistol with a decent magazine size.

Catchmoon is functionally a pocket Arca Plasmor, full stop

Tombfinger is an RPG version of the arngstrum, while catchmoon is pocket version of the arca plasmor.

If had to compare this to TF2 guns, TF would be the Scorchshot and CM the Righteous Bison.
Tombfinger does more single-target damage shot for shot, and actually has a headshot damage multiplier, but Catchmoon fires bullets the size of beach balls that pass through several enemies, dealing full damage to all of them. Both are excellent weapons with slightly different strengths.

I’m planning on using one of these kitguns alongside my secura penta, which already does a lotta dmg thanks to a riven and napalm grenades

as stated above
tombfinger hit like a trucks.

- have high base damage
- can reach orange crit without riven if you have both primed pistol gambit and hydraulic
crosshair(common)
- have above average crit multiplier. ( mine is around 2.3)
- can use kitgun exclusive arcane ( Pax Seeker, Pax Charge, Pax Soar etc )
- doesn't have insane recoil like Lex
- satisfying reload animation
- basically a Desert Eagle

the cons with this gun is
it's a projectile
you need to aim for head for insane dmg multiplier
it have travel time
pretty hard to hit a moving target (especialy daryn in plains of eidolon)
the projectile explode in cone shape and only hit enemy behind the blast
