Prosecutors.
So, this is the first time I've been legitimately frustrated/at a loss in this game. I generally use the wiki for alot of my problems, but honestly this didn't help. Based on what I have read they're only vulnerable to a single elemental damage type, and can spawn in 4 different types. Meaning that instead of building for resistances like I was told to, and am used to doing. Now I have to build all 3 of my weapons around an individual element, and find some way to make my companion do enough of the last element to even be worth something for a single enemy? I wanted to just ignore them, but apparently I can't ignore them since around 15 of them spawned in a single mobile defense, and they provide their resistance as an aura for every other enemy. Is there any way to chew through these without having to redesign everything that I'm used to, and then hoping for the best since my companion probably won't deal enough damage regardless, or am I just SOL?

I prefer to play solo since my internet is unstable, so I'm hoping that grouping isn't the only option to deal with these.

They're resistant - not immune. Drown them in DPS.

Or take a frame with an Exalted Weapon

if you cannot deal enough damage at the moment your best deal is crowd control

you should have access to Frost, build him for Strength and Duration, because his 4-th ability strips armor, meaning he lowers the damage reduction of enemies.

And with decent duration you can keep them frozen and headshot them fast enough.

Maybe get some specter to be with you, anyone just to pew pew.

That is just one of possible ways.

Warframe abilities are, in my experience, excellent for dealing with them.
I can entirely ignore Prosecutor resistances with Mag's 2, at least in my experience.
They also don't have immunity to elementals that aren't their specific type, they just have a high resistance; you can (in theory) kill them with any elemental. It'll just take a bit longer.

Your best bet is probably to play a Warframe that has innate elemental damage and/or can force damage on a specific target.

Or go operator mode and void damage them.

I get the feeling that OP isn't at that point in the game, given that the only point in the game you have to care about Prosecutors on is Ceres; new players have issues with Prosecutors because they don't have the "♥♥♥♥ everyone and everything" tools that more experienced players have.

Given that OP only has 171 hours clocked on Steam, I'll wager that they haven't unlocked that feature yet.

I have operator, but it still felt painfully slow to kill even 1 of them. I heard there was a way to upgrade the operator, but I'm not at that point yet.

I stand corrected, then.
The way to upgrade them is by doing Eidolon hunts, farming focus, and getting better amps.
AKA not the best solution for dealing with Prosecutors.

Overall your best bet is running a frame that can remove armor and/or has innate elemental damage (Frost, primarily) or can force a metric ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of damage on a target (Mag, Chroma/Rhino/Octavia/Harrow with their respective damage-buffing abilities).

I remember when people used to make teams to hunt those guys. If you have the elemental dual-stat mods, you can make some low-capacity effort to make your gear have all four primary elements, since they cost a lot less than the pure elemental ones regarding your capacity. I often run my weapons with a mixed element and a primary one, such as corrosive/cold, viral/heat or magnetic/toxin, since they already have catalysts and stuff. You could try using the Dex weapons for that.

It usually pays to run diferent elements on your primary and secondary weapons. Most factions have a few odd problem units that are resistent to the weaknesses of their peers. In the case of prosecutors you will generally get lucky between your three weapons, abilities, and operator. Of not, stay mobile and chip away.

There is a point in the game where staller type enemies will kill you every time they show up, then mostly, then hardly ever. Same with prosecutors. ;)

Back in the day, when prosecutors were first introduced, a potatoed Soma was enough to take on any type that spawned. If you have a Warframe with damage buff, like Rhino, perhaps that could help.

Slaaaaaaash damage.
Walrus-Sama Apr 15, 2019 @ 1:51pm
I never understood Prosecutors. Lotus comes on like 'Watch out Tenno, this super tough dude showed up.' which is then immedately followed by 'Well done Tenno, you showed that Prosecutors are not invincible.' And I'm just sitting there like 'Who? That glowing dude in the group of enemies who I just one-shotted like the rest? I'm so confused.'.

This isn't even a case of like I have so super overpowered weapon or something, I've oneshot these dudes while leveling Mastery Fodder. I really have no concept of the 'resistences' they are ment to have.

I don't get it.

How to kill them, get your high damage weapon out and just kill them in 10 hits, i can literally kill them in like 2 secs with crit zaw+corrosive dmg on it, they are weak af

General rule of thumb for any content requiring variety of damage or when making a standard set... 1 weapon for mostly physical damage or crit, 1 weapon for corrosion (and blast), 1 weapon for radiation (and viral).

In addition to having a means of exploiting most weaknesses in one way, viral and blast tend to be somewhat useful against all enemy types so you can mostly get by without needing to switch weapons.
