how does one get corrosive projection

Im helping a friend get it but the way of getting it seems changed since I last played.

It's not in the nightwave offerings any more, it was there either last week or the week before. Your friend has three options; the first is to hope it appears again in nightwave (not sure how likely, but 27 auras exist and they're being sold 4 at a time, so there's a chance), the second is to trade for it (their new abundance has lowered prices to as low as 13 plat), the third is to farm the silver grove specters and hope RNGesus smiles on you (drop chance is super low, I wouldn't bother personally).

I don't see anything on the wiki that says it drops from them. But if they did, I still think farming them isn't a total waste of time if there are other good mods that drop from them, too.

Silver Grove specters never drops Corrosive Projection. The aura mods they drop are Growing Power, Brief Respite, Empowered Blades, Shotgun Amp, Pistol Amp, and Stand United.

I stand corrected. I faintly recalled being told they could drop all the auras, but I personally grabbed it from nightwave so didn't know first hand.
